Currently Burning on: TRANSFORMERS!!! I will mix G1, IDW, and the live-action movie settings since they do have... holes...

My thought on Transformers sexuality/reproduction system:

All Transformers(Cybertronians) are technically un-gendered species with few exception such as Arcee in IDW, who got female gender because of Jhiaxus. Anyways, so all Transformers are hermaphrodites in the sense of sexual organs: spike and valve. They can also have data up-link, but this is considered a bit more of a 'friendly' thing to do than the spike/valve interface which is considered more romantic and sexy. A Transformer can be created at first to represent more male or female characteristics, but special upgrades, replacements, or accumulated usage of spike or valve will change the Transformer. If the spike is more used hardware then the Transformer will become masculine, and if the valve is used more then the Transformer will become feminine over time. If the usage is approximately same, than status quo.

The spike releases transfluid, the valve accept it and takes it to the reproduction tank that is located somewhere in their abdomen. By small probability, the absorbed transfluid will react with the transfluid in the reproduction tank and form a protoform on its own. However this protoform will disintegrate if the 'parents' do not do spark-merge to create a new spark.
