![]() My top fandoms include Kingdom Hearts, Pokemon, Naruto, One Piece, Harry Potter, and any other random fandom I'm into at the moment. Make sure to check out my favorites for some good stories from others on the site. As for my own personal fics, well, it's unlikely I'll write one. I want to, but my short attention span is killer. If I do, it'll be a a Kingdom Hearts fanfiction that I've been thinking about for a while. I'll try my best, life willing. 10/12/14: About that KH fanfiction... It's coming soon! The first three chapters are more or less done. My goal is to write at least five before publishing, with hopefully a one chapter per week update schedule. Here's a sneak peek if you're interested: Marriage Not Dating “Case number 3,197: Namine Memoria.” The speaker, an older, balding gentleman in a black court dress gown, stated the words in a dull tone as he stared down upon the papers in front of him. 'I'm surprised he hasn't lost all his hair in the 3,196 cases before mine.' The petite blond who stood across from him grinned at her inside joke, fingers flexing nervously under the attention of the audience behind her. No doubt they were curious as to what crime a young woman in her twenties would commit. The judge cleared his throat, attracting the room's attention back to him. “For the charge of continual harassment, I believe a fine is a just enough punishment. Do you agree Ms. Memoria?” The man looked at Namine with a sober face but he only got a snort in response. A snort that quickly evolved into full blown cackling. Namine could hear murmurs emanating from behind her but she couldn't find it in herself to care. The situation itself was simply too ridiculous for her to stop. “Defendant,” the judge's face had somehow grown even more serious. “Do you acknowledge that you're being convicted of stalking?” The laughter died down from her lips. “I'm a crazy bitch.” Namine declared to the stunned courtroom, her bulging eyes agreeing with her statement. “I must have been insane to think I could marry him.” Silence met her outburst, with all eyes focusing on the seething woman. It didn’t last for long, however, as a panting man pushed open the door in the back. His eyes swept the room until they made contact with Namine, which brought a smile to his face and an astonished look to hers. 'What the hell is Roxas doing here?' Namine internally exclaimed. “And who might you be?” The judge asked, his voice now tinged with annoyance. The smartly-dressed man's smile became a smirk in response, his posture becoming straighter. “I'm that woman's fiance.” Fanfic Coming This Fall to a Screen near You Naked Snake is in a particularly dicey situation. He and Galvez have been pinned down in a communications bunker for hours, and things are looking grim. Galvez is grumbling about their predicament and taking potshots out the window when he hears a munching sound. He turns around to see Snake scarfing down a piping hot slice of pizza. "You idiot!" he exclaims. "You risked having pizza delivered in the middle of a firefight!? You're crazier than I thought!" Snake calmly finishes wolfing down his slice (washing it down with a swig of Dew) before responding in a whisper. "It's not delivery. It's DiGiorno, you son of a bitch." Then he un-holsters his M1911 and buries a round in Galvez's frontal lobe in one smooth motion. As the blood pools at his feet, Snake shakes a cigarette out of a pack and lights it. The DiGiorno logo fades up. If you don't want to eat pizza after that, you might as well never eat again. The following is an actual question given on a University of Washington chemistry mid-term. The answer by one student was so "profound" that the professor shared it with colleagues, via the Internet, which is, of course, why we now have the pleasure of enjoying it as well. Bonus Question: Is Hell exothermic (gives off heat) or endothermic (absorbs heat)? Most of the students wrote proofs of their beliefs using Boyle's Law (gas cools off when it expands and heats up when it is compressed) or some variant. One student, however, wrote the following: "First, we need to know how the mass of Hell is changing in time. So we need to know the rate that souls are moving into Hell and the rate they are leaving. I think that we can safely assume that once a soul gets to Hell, it will not leave. Therefore, no souls are leaving. As for how many souls are entering Hell, let's look at the different religions that exist in the world today. Most of these religions state that if you are not a member of their religion, you will go to Hell. Since there is more than one of these religions and since people do not belong to more than one religion, we can project that all souls go to Hell. With birth and death rates as they are, we can expect the number of souls in Hell to increase exponentially. Now, we look at the rate of change of the volume in Hell because Boyle's Law states that in order for the temperature and pressure in Hell to stay the same, the volume of Hell has to expand proportionately as souls are added. This gives two possibilities: 1) If Hell is expanding at a slower rate than the rate at which souls enter Hell, then the temperature and pressure in Hell will increase until all Hell breaks loose. 2) If Hell is expanding at a rate faster than the increase of souls in Hell, then the temperature and pressure will drop until Hell freezes over. So which is it? If we accept the postulate given to me by Teresa during my Freshman year, "...that it will be a cold day in Hell before I sleep with you", and take into account the fact that I still have not succeeded in having an affair with her, then #2 above cannot be true, and thus I am sure that Hell is exothermic and will not freeze over." THIS STUDENT RECEIVED THE ONLY "A". Certefied Ginger Alliance Member |
