Tauriel is a Silvan Elf who escapes into the Greenwood Forest after a pack of orcs kills her parents. Once there, she is accepted into the Kingdom of the Woodland Realm ruled by King Thranduil, and is trained by the king's son Legolas. When Tauriel is betrayed and a darkness approaches, she must decide which side she's on and if her existence with the Wood-Elves is safe.
