The Mikoto Twins are on Total Drama because they nearly got in trouble after a prank of their's went a bit too far. Ryu and Franklin's mother decided that the show was a good way to keep them from getting in trouble. She knows the twins will look out for each other even through they don't get along on most days. Though she has undermined her twins trouble streak.
