Author has written 5 stories for Mortal Instruments, X-Men, Harry Potter, and Batman.

"And why don't you write? Write! Writing is for you, you are for you; your body is yours, take it. I know why you haven't written. (And why I didn't write before the age of twenty-seven.) Because writing is at once too high, too great for you, it's reserved for the great--that is for "great men; and it's "silly." Besides you've written a little, but in secret. And it wasn't good, because it was in secret, and because you punished yourself for writing, because you didn't go all the way, or because you wrote irresistibly..." ~Helene Cixous

"the poet becomes an expert packer of suitcases," ~Sylvia Plath

Art, literature, words, communication, perception, intuition--these are the things I devote my life too. They are that which I love unceasingly and with the most passion. Because, it is now more than ever that we must come to depend on these things, to mark the world with our own beauty and kindness. Occasionally, I am a simple, joyful girl. I like silly things like the X-men, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and most recently the Mortal Instruments series. I do not believe in canon. And what I mean when I say canon is that I simply do not believe there is any wrong or right way to write, or that one type of writing should be favored over another. It is all creation. It serves its purpose. I am a writer, I have my own projects, my own publications. But I do not think that degrades fanfiction. Lately, I've been thinking about some of the obstacles that are being overcome in the graphic novel realm, when Frank Miller took over the Batman franchise, did he not simply step into someone else's characters and take off with his own vision? What better description for fanfiction is out there other than that?

I agree with Cixous, writing must be for you, first. Before it can be for any audience, it must first complete something within you. As my very dear friend said to me only last night, when I read your writing I can feel your passion for it. That, for me, is the most extenuating compliment I can ever receive. For nothing in the world is accomplished without passion.

I am also a deeply devoted Feminist, an FA advocate, a reader, a student, a writer, a crisis counselor, an Upward Bound counselor, an emotional fugitive. I'm also just pretty dang fun. So, don't be shy! Message me, review me and I will always return the favor.
