Takes place nine years after season one. El is 22 and has custody of Holly. The rest of the Wheelers are gone. El has become sucessful after college and is enjoying her life. However when El gets an interesting patient, her life changes forever.

Eleven survives the Demogorgon and has to learn to adjust to 'normal' life with her friends. Includes shopping, female friends, and many, many not-so-subtle pop culture references. Primarily Mileven fluff.

It had been seven years since Eleven vanished with the monster. Everyone moved on, for the most part, but not Mike. He stayed in Hawkins, refusing to leave for college like Dustin and Lucas. He stayed for Will and for the ever lingering hope that one day he would find her again. Just as he is starting to make a life for himself, Eleven comes home. Older now, too, and scared.
