My name is Kristen, I'm currently going to college and in my spare time I've been writing a bunch of different stories. Of course, my most important flaw writing-wise is I never seem to be able to finish a story. Hopefully with a little extra motivation that's been springing up lately, this is going to change. I've been writing since 6th grade, mostly short stories and the like. I'm an aspiring reporter and I'm hoping to eventually work in New York City. My favorite movies are Saving Private Ryan, Titanic, The Patriot and The Quiet Man. I have a soft spot for Saturday Night Fever, but don't ask me why. I've been trying to figure that one out myself for a while now :) I also have a passion for music- not making music, per se, but I adore all types of music ranging from country to metal to everything in between. Currently, I'm obsessed with Sleigh Bells, a noise rock band from Brooklyn. I also adore 20th century history and I'm striving to learn more about my personal family history. Some things you can expect from me in the future: 1) "Into the Darkness"- A Titanic Fanfiction trilogy - "Into the Darkness" is part one of a trilogy involving Titanic's Fifth Officer Harold Lowe, Tommy Ryan and a 21st century girl, Sierra Celeste Bouvier. It's Sierra's tale of time-traveling to 1912 and her experience on the ship's tragic maiden voyage as she meets and forms a romantic triangle with Lowe and Ryan. What sets this apart from other time travel fictions is that Sierra, unlike many other protagonists in time travel stories, is very content with her life in 2010 where she provides lead vocals for a metal band. 2) Six Saving Private Ryan romance fictions. It's the story of the men under Miller's command, excluding Horvath and Ryan, and the women that they left behind. The stories will each have different titles. As of 10/13/2010, the titles stand as such: "In God's Country" (Jackson); "Sous Le Ciel De Rouge" (Wade); "The Rocky Road to Nowhere" (Reiben); "Comin' Back to Me" (Caparzo); "Living For You" (Mellish); "The Loss of Innocence" (Upham). |
