Lucy, a psychology student at the university, gets a internship at the local asylum in order to broaden her studies. While there, she encounters a peculiar group of people that will forever change her life.

When the guild decides to catch up with Lisanna, someone is left in the shadows, forgotten, deemed useless. Lucy. For the sake of her aching heart, she temporarily leaves Fairy Tail, succeeding in becoming stronger and finding herself amongst new companionship. However, things don't exactly go according to her plans, in both the good way and the bad way.

Lucy runs away from the guild to begin her training to get stronger, when she runs into an old childhood friend, Acnologia. But… Why is he a Dragon? Why is SHE a Dragon? And how does her mother fit into everything?

You've all read the stories where Lucy has a cry about Team Natsu kicking her off the team. The cliché thing is that she leaves Fairy Tail, falls in love with someone unexpected, either makes her own guild or joins Sabertooth and usually becomes a Dragon Slayer.
