Basic Profile Name: Rhys Philip Garner Age: 18 Place of Birth: Leicester, England Sex: Male Eye Colour: Brown Favourite Games (Franchises) Resident Evil, Bioshock, Final Fantasy, Tomb Raider, Assassin's Creed, Soul Calibur, Zoo Tycoon, Viva Pinata, The Battle for Middle Earth series, Age of Empires and one of my most favourites, the SimCity series, specifically the most recent addition to the franchise. Favourite Films Transformers (all four), Resident Evil (all five), Jurassic Park (second one in particular), Despicable Me (minions...nuff said), Wallace and Gromit: The Curse of the Were Rabbit and Pirates of the Caribbean (all four), The Lord of the Rings (third in particular), The Hobbit (all thus far) Favourite TV Series Sanctuary, Stargate: Atlantis, Stargate: Universe, Supernatural, The Vampire Diaries, The Walking Dead, The Tomorrow People, Arrow, NCIS (LA included) and Hawaii Five-0. Favourite Books (series) Inheritance Cycle, A Series of Unfortunate Events, The Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, Jurassic Park, Assassin's Creed novels. Favourite Characters (from all formats and a few words as to why...most likely to include the word 'badass') Jill Valentine (Beautiful badass) Chris Redfield (Handsome badass) Helen Magnus (Who doesn't love a Victorian badass that cares for the worlds oddities?) Claire Farron aka Lightning (If anyone can pull off pink hair and challenge gender conventions, it's her) Oerba Yun Fang (Best Eidolon, character of choice, badass with the most gravelly Australian accent I have ever heard) Kimarhi Ronso (Favourite FFX character, always on my main team no matter what) Dean Winchester (With the amount of times I've said 'badass' you'd know why I chose him) Alice (Badass as a human, more so with the T-Virus) Barthandelus (Not the character specifically, rather his monologues. Some of the most amazing speeches are given by him even though he gets his ass kicked a grand total of three times) Helena Harper (I'm all about character development, plus I'm a big fan of the Hydra shotgun not to mention she looks good in her first uniform) Lara Croft (She's British. It would be treason for me not to consider her one of my top characters) Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Doesn't matter how many times I see it, the headslap always makes me giggle) Henrietta Lange (Small, occasionally outrageous with the appearance of Edna Mode. Aside from that, the woman can scare even the most robust of people with a simple stare)Favourite Locations (From various formats and the reasons why) Rapture (Underwater city that looked amazing when it was re-created for Burial at Sea. Perhaps one of the most beautiful locations I have seen in gaming for its time) Eden (Cocoon's floating capital. I'm a bit of a nutter for sleek architecture and it's in general just a beautiful place) Sunleth Waterscape (Preferably from the first entry into the XIII trilogy. Could not take my eyes of the screen throughout the entire chapter) Raccoon City (Can't explain this one properly but it may have something to do with the fact that it is one of the most difficult places to navigate, given the map of the place) Thailand (Tomb Raider: Underworld's rendition was utterly breathtaking to the point where I didn't mind the shoddy camera just so long as I was in the level) London Sanctuary (Despite not being seen often on the show, it's one of my favourites. Not to mention, it houses a bloody pterodactyl for crying out loud!) Lost Island (Tomb Raider: Anniversary did a brilliant job in completely overhauling the level. Ancient yet sophisticated despite it's use of stone) Atlantis (The Lanteans really did build an amazing city. A pity that we humans turn up and cause damage of varying scale) Destiny (My favourite ship in the whole of the Stargate series, which again suffers more damage since our kind has come aboard. We have a pretty bad habit of breaking everything we discover) Columbia (Particularly in the opening stage of BioShock: Infinite. The city just seems to glow with heavenly light) Croft Manor (In the later entries. The house actually exists in a small town in England, only it has a different interior.) Minas Tirith (Beautifully made for the films and it was the site of my favourite battle in the entire series)My Overall Personality I like to think of myself as polite, but that generally only counts when I've just met someone. Once they've known me for a while, I tend to throw all norms out and I do have quite the swearing habit. I keep my manners, but in general, I become a little bit random with a colourful vocabulary constantly spilling from my mouth. I'm a little bit of a klutz which tends to bring out the following words: Bugger, bloody hell or bother. I'm easily frustrated by daft comments and have a tendency to headslap people a la Gibbs and in general I also facepalm a lot. There's also the occasional muttering of 'I'm losing faith in humanity' whilst I shake my head, eyes buried behind my hand. You may find out through my writing that I write a lot of sarcastic humour and that's because I am in general a sarcastic person. I can't remember who introduced me to the world of sarcasm but by God I am so thankful that they did because I just love sarcastic humour. When it comes to being social, I tend to avoid big crowds, preferring to stay in and read or play a game rather than go out and kill my liver and kidneys with copious amounts of alcohol. That's not to say I'm a total stick in the mud. I do poke my head out of the house for a couple of hours every so often but in general prefer the warmth and comfort of home rather than the outdoors or interior of a pub. I do occasionally go camping, but two days in and I'm listing all of the things I miss at home and I'm craving a warm shower, a memory foam mattress and a pillow that isn't a jumper. Put simply, I'm like my dear mum when it comes to the outdoors. I am an avid writer, only I never really settle perfectly with what I've written so I decided to create an account here to hopefully do just that. I do have a tendency for writers block that can last anywhere from a few days to a whole year so do consider that a fair warning. When it comes to writing fanfiction, I tend to prefer using OC's as my mind tends to imagine characters that would be good for that particular text, if you would, at least in my opinion and I also tend to write slash more so than I do your average ships but of course, I'll write warnings for you. My notes will be pretty succinct. Not due to the fact that I won't try to engage you but due to the fact that I suck at writing them. Plus, if I can sneak in a supernatural (genre, not TV series) fic here and there, I tend to do my best and stick with it. I do try my best not to rush my plots along but sometimes it tends to look like I've sped from one place to the next and I will try to make sure that my character growth happens over a long period of time. So to sum up. I am a sarcastic, foul mouthed klutz that has a tendency to physically assault the daft with a clip to the back of the head and a tendency to bury my head in my hand when frustrated. I am a reader who makes lists in a longing voice of the comforts of home whilst camping and prefer a functioning liver and kidneys to ones ravaged by the excessive consumption of alcohol. If you've read this in a tone that is appropriate then I do applaud you, of course I don't know what tone you read in, so therefore I may not. Quote of the Day "Ugh, philistine!"
