Before he could truly process what was happening, his thumb was taken between their fingers, and snapped, cybernetics tearing. He screamed, and fear pulsed in him, the first bit of true fear that he has felt, and he knows they feel it, too. Alternatively: The time Rocket lost the use of his hands...

Purchasing Terran items and being captured by an old acquaintance leads Rocket and Peter to think about their origins, learning more about themselves in the process.

When Peter learns about Thanos's failed invasion, the Guardians go to Earth in order to warn them about what's been going on with the rest of the Galaxy.

Growls and muttered curses hung in the air, while it wasn't out of the ordinary for Rocket to be pissed after a relatively tough fight, today was different. Peter didn't know what happened, but Rocket was beyond livid. Tension hung heavy in the air, but no one really wanted to risk the raccoon's ire at the moment. Peter was pretty sure he was making another death ray of some kind.

And one time Rocket taught his friends. Rocket is clearly not used to social situations. So some things that people do often are lost on him. Or he takes them the wrong way because of his past. T for safety. Mild language, mentions of torture, death & general insanity. Additional warnings per chapter.

When Rocket is stung by a alien bug he is sent into a 24 hr sleep plagued with nightmares of his past. Only able to whach as he writhes and screams will the guardians of the galaxy survive the day?

The Guardians of the Galaxy find themselves in the unfortunate position of having to go grocery shopping. Between shampoo selections, Poptart-eating gods, and angry ex-dads, it goes about as well as Gamora expected. Probably a crack fic.

Apparently, headaches are not as universal as Peter has been led to believe. Sample: "He stumbled into something solid as his vision went out faster than a blown light bulb, frantic voices speaking above him barely registering in his throbbing brain." *Rated T for cursing.

Any time is bonding time, including when you're separated from your friends and stuck trudging through the comm-jamming wilderness. Peter and Groot make the best of it.

Peter wakes up in the middle of the night after hearing Rocket yelling & can't get back to sleep until he knows that Rocket is okay. Instead of Peter finding Rocket, Rocket finds Peter. Hints of Rocket's past, Pocket Bromance, slight language. Tiny spoiler if you haven't seen the movie.

After fending off a monster, Rocket finds himself in a literal mess. Enlisting Peter's help, he does everything he can to make things uncomfortable for the Star-Lord for his own amusement.

"And here's the main thing – where most people was seeing a freak of nature and a thug, Groot was seeing a person with history, pain, dreams, hobbies and unique skills. But above all that Groot was seeing his best friend." Rocket gets injured. While sitting next to him in the hospital, Groot reflects about their friendship.

Rocket raccoon and Groots misadventures as they help each other grow. This is a story of how they met and how they grew into the beings they are now. Rocket is a kid. Slightly AU.
