Annabeth Chase has been a single mother for three years ever since her fiance, Luke Castellan, went missing in action. She doesn't want help from anyone so most of the time it's just her and her son, James. Since James is getting older, Annabeth decided to take him to have swimming lessons where she meets Percy. He's the first guy in three years to pull on her heartstrings.

Sally knew this quest had been different the moment she set her eyes on her son. She knew because of the way he tensed up when she hugged him. She knew because of the way Annabeth reached for a weapon that wasn't at her hip. And she knew because for the first time ever, there was something he wasn't telling her. A story about Sally learning about her son's trip to Tartarus.

A surprising turn of events leaves Sally conflicted because being a mother is complicated and Percy would be absolutely thrilled if only he knew. Spoilers for The Hidden Oracle.

"'We're going to spend our senior year together,' Annabeth explained, 'here in New York...'" (Blood of Olympus, Ch. 56). Percy and Annabeth are back from the Giant War and will be together in New York for a whole year. A year of love, family, and the not-so-small challenge of finding healing after Tartarus and picking up the rest of the pieces that the war left behind. Post-BoO!

Four times when a pregnant Astrid worries about the future, and one time she doesn't.

WARNING BLOOD OF OLYMPUS SPOILERS. READ NO FURTHER IF YOU DO NOT WISH TO BE SPOILED. Percy and Annabeth have come out of Tartarus to join the rest of the Argo II in their mission to defeat Gaea. But they can't get Tartarus out of their heads. This is Percy and Annabeth in BoO, in which they struggle with the crippling memories of Tartarus and try to learn how to function again.

Percy's always been angry. Tartarus just made it harder to hold back.

Percy and Annabeth probably thought they were being subtle, but everyone knew about them even before they did. These are their "moments" from the perspectives of the people who just happened to be watching. Viewpoints include Beckendorf, Silena, Malcolm, Michael, Rachel, and more.

Story takes place 9 years after Blood of Olympus. Percy and Annabeth are married and trying to start a family. This is how their baby comes into the world.

After months of waiting, Percy finally returns home after the Giant War with Annabeth, but nothing is ever easy and the road to recovery is a long one.
