I'm sorry for any one out there waiting for me to update my story "Harry Potter and the Hidden Power". I've given up writing, due to lack of free time and motivation. You guys were all wonderful, thank you for all the positive reviews. If you'd like some good recommendations, read on as I've included a list with a few of the finished fics I've enjoyed most, or check out my favorite stories for even more selection.

"Evanescence" by CreativeQuill: This has got to be one of the best stories I've read that continues where J.K. ended Half Blood Prince. Very well thought out, and I could easily believe that some of the plot could take place in the final installment of the series. Harry decides to skip his final year at Hogwarts to search for the remaining Horcruxes. He won't be alone, as Ron, Hermione, and Ginny all join him on his quest.

"Harry Potter and the Time Mage" by MaxFic: The war is over and Harry is the only of his group left alive. He only has one hope, in the form of the power "he knows not". Harry uses his new found power of time control (think Prince of Persia) to relive his entire Hogwarts career in an attempt to stop Voldemort before things get ugly again.

"Phoenix Rising" by psychochick1: I can't count how many times I've read this story. It is very well thought out and manages to keep you guessing until the very end. Harry is taken away to another realm to do some serious training. He comes back a macho badass ready to kick some Death Eater ass. Things start to spiral out of control with spilt identies and self-induced mental problems as well as a very dark, evil alliance between Voldemort and Satan.

"War & Passion" by RedBlaze1: A very excellent AU story that doesn't follow the standard Harry Potter story format. Harry, Ron, and Hermione are trained by the Dept. of Mysteries to be War Mages. They are forced to leave school though, when the Ministry of Magic calls them to active duty. Things get a little crazy when Ginny is kidnapped and Harry and Ron rush off to save her.
