I didn't see a place I could add notes to the story, so I'll just put it here for those who look.

Brightest Possibility is from a much longer story and happens just prior to Korriban, when Carth goes to find his son. Knowing that helps make this scene more poignant, I've been told, but I dunno about that.

I have several scenes written out, and I might end up posting them individually rather than trying to muddle through a huge, meandering story... I get sidetracked too easily and might not ever finish the thing. And man, I hate it when stories never get finished on this site! I mean, I totally understand how it happens, but I don't want to do it. So vignettes, maybe.

To be honest, my best friend of twenty years is the only other person I've allowed to ever read any of my stuff before I got a really nice beta from Kotorfanmedia.com, kattalez. It's odd to me how daunting letting strangers read your stuff can be... I feel sick to my stomach that this is up here, actually. I'm trying to get over myself, however. I really do want to become a better writer - there are several on Kotorfanmedia that make my jaw drop with everything they write, and I'd like to be that good someday. I know I won't improve unless I put stuff out there for people to critique and give me pointers. So. Here it is. The first of possibly a few.
