I'm Cindy, and I live in the Pacific Northwest. My passions include writing, photography, flowers, animals, gardening, my family, depression glass, and my Labradoodle, Bailey. My paid job is as a speech-language pathologist, and I have a background in psychology, hearing disorders, music, and cognitive science. I worked with convicted juvenile felons in 1987 and 1988, before graduate school, then I became an EMT after 9-11 and volunteered with our local fire department for several years. I would like to travel more both in and outside the U.S., but I did spend a year at a university in Australia in 1986.

I have started an original fiction novel, under the name Cynthia Tveit (check out and "like" my page on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/CynthiaTveit ) which is exciting. There are pros and cons to writing fan fiction and I will be exploring new territory with my own quirky host of characters -- but it's probably going to take about two years. Right now I'm reading about serial killers and forensics, and indulging in some genre fiction -- character-driven crime and medical thrillers, of course! There will be cops and paramedics, heroes, strong women, and bad villains -- so stay tuned!
