They took back Republic City from Kuvira, but that doesn't mean troubles are over. Meanwhile, Korra and Asami explore their new relationship and everything that comes with it. Mako finds he can never run away from his past. Something may be very wrong with Bolin, that not even the mighty Avatar can fix. And...can Korra help redeem Kuvira, or are some people not meant to be saved?

Mako had believed that his brother was gone for nearly half a decade until Asami had come to his door in the middle of the night. "Asami, what're you on about?" Mako screams until his throat is sore and so does Bolin; they both watch each other during their torture, it's not just one or another one of their sufferings it's both, they share it. Mako never imagined this torture when the Equalist imprisoned them. But he's going to get Bolin out of here. Bolin's his brother and no matter what Mako will protect him.

Just a little one-shot about what the precious Red Scarf means for each brother, and a feely bro moment. To most, it was just a tattered, dingy, red scarf that they could always associate on the firebender's shoulders-and they didn't know why, because they had never asked. But for the brothers, The Scarf was so much more.

And there was so much he wanted to say to her. So much that he felt like he should say to her, just to explain himself. To excuse himself, almost, from running. Asami invites Bolin on a drive through the city, and he accepts, expecting more questions on Mako and Korra's budding romance. What he does not expect is the destination - either of them. One-shot.
