Enjolras couldn't let Eponine do Marius's bidding, at least not while the Revolution plagued the streets of Paris, but she certainly wasn't fit for the battlefield. Enjolras has saved Eponine at the from being shot at the barricade and she has been able to show them all a way out. But at what cost is the new found freedom.
