![]() Author has written 1 story for Rise of the Guardians. I am currently writing my first fanfic. It only took me forever, but I am writing about... drumroll here... Jack Frost from Rise of the guardians! Ta da! Honestly, I wouldn't be, but I am so sick of reading the ones that are out there, because they all kinda... suck. I am not saying that the writers suck, it's just that they are retelling the exact same fanfic, over and over. They all start with, usually, a girl living out in the woods, alone or with relatives that are almost always away from the house, and she goes exploring or something to find a little old frozen pond, right in the middle of said wooded area. They will then proceed to try to walk across said ice pond/lake or ice skate, at which point they will fall down cus they suck at it, fall into the lake, or get pushed down by the wind. Then they will imagine Jack Frost who is always their favorite imaginary person, despite that they are a teenager, and BAM! he is there. Disbelief follows along with the whole, "Proof it" sequence where they will fly, and or witness some kind of magical frosty thing only Jack Frost can do. That is when he will make his move to annoy her and then after he saves her from danger, or takes her home, they make out and then the Catch phrase, "See you around, (said name here)." The End. I summed up about a dozen fan fictions in a paragraph. Granted, not all of them follow the exact plot line to a tee, because they are mostly drawn out more, and they want to talk about Pitch and the Man in the Moon, along with other characters. Yet, they almost always follow this sequence of events and after reading a few of them( because I watched the movie and decided I was in love with Jack, I had to feed my inner craving for Fan girly ness) I found that they just seemed to be the same old beaten rag, a bit of a cliché. I hope that people will know that I tried to make a better fanfic by giving the characters real lives. Yes, it's in a wooded area, and yes, the main character is alone. But, I hope to spend a good amount of time explaining why, other then, " I am an orphan who lives like a hermit, Jack Frost, will you come marry me." Oh, and one more thing; will someone Please write a fan fiction for Mr. Chair and Stephano. I detest Fan fictions about Pewdiepie and other various characters. The only one I can Find is Velvet Gold, and it is long since abandoned. So right now My Jack Frost fanfic is kind of stuck. I know what I want to write about for it, but I have to put in boring parts to get to it and I don't seem to have time. I only started writing the fic because I had all of spring break. Now, I am lucky to have a weekend and I just keep thinking about a ton of other fanfiction ideas for other things. I am going to jot down the things I am planning so I don't forget. Corpse party- I am thinking of having one where a bunch of people get sucked into the world, but all the OC's are going to be in some other storys I plan to write because of this dream I had about curses and-let's just say that if I can pull it off, it will be very cool.Princess Tutu- takes place in a world were Duck is just a pet and becomes a girl, but has to learn how to be human, like walking talking communicating. I think it's a pretty good idea if I manage to getting around to write it.I think I had another idea, but it seems to have slipped my mind, so I ll come back when I think of it. Something about Rise of the Guardians has suddenly pissed me off. Pitch should not have been a bad guy. I mean, yes, he should, but I thought that by the end, Pitch was not going to be a bad guy. He had the potential to not be so bad. I mean, not join the guardians or anything, but they could live in peace with fear. Fear exists to be overcome, but without fear, you do something stupid. I wish he could have turned over a new leaf or Jack showing him that it's not so bad looking at the world through a positive light. Sorry just wanted to rant. This is my list of things I use to find good fan fictions. Or at least, ones that I will like. First- of course use the filter for what I am looking for in a fic. Second- start reading through summery's( no der) Third- if the summery is a question, such as, " What if character A had done some random event that got them and another character naked in a room together?"(just random thing, not real summery) I don't know, but really, those things sound so dumb to me, that whatever the story is, it is probably just as dumbly written. Fourth- Proper grammar in the summery, cuz if they aren't going to capitalize a main characters name, put in spaces, or give a lick about spelling in the summery, they probably didn't in the story, which means that they probably don't deserve for me to read it, and my review would just be me being a hater. Fifth- If they manage to capture my attention, I check for story length because I myself like to write long story's, but prefer reading one shots. Plus, it feels like it will just be a chore to read something for 56 chapters and 16000 words. I am writing a story about a Female Hiccup and Tuffnut. Don't Kill me. I loved Astrid in the movie and them getting together and whatnot, but I read some yaoi story's and know...I will go down with this Ship. I don't think I have the will to write a yaoi, so I changed him to a girl cuz...you know... I am a girl, so I know what it's like and... yea. That's all. |
