At a medical seminar, Beverly Crusher meets a new friend whose story of frustrated love is eerily similar. Can the lessons learned change her fate? Or will fate rob her of a second chance?

Set two months after Beverly Crusher's heroic rescue of the man she loves, Picard and her must find a way to deal with their changing relationship amidst chaos, and the backdrop of galactic turmoil. Picard is thrust into a command he had not sought, and an insidious enemy threatens the very fabric of the Federation. P/C, A/U. Please review. It helps - a lot!

As the Enterprise D commences its inaugural voyage, Picard brings aboard a very small passenger. Now, how he can command the new star ship and care for his new charge, that will be the greatest challenge he's faced yet. Maybe, just maybe, he'll find some new, and old, friends on board his ship to lend a hand.

Follows the series and movies up until the end of 'Nemesis,' and then diverges. A new race, the M'loi, have begun a war on the Federation, and Beverly and Jean-Luc must each face challenges to save the other. Not super happy, but everything ends up right and proper.
