This story starts before season one. Marion is still alive and is working on getting Ty released on probation to her. In this story there will be no accident so Marion is alive and I will explore what might have happened had she been in her family and Ty's life. So the Title "WHAT IF".

Mitch and Amy find an unexpected connection due to absent lovers. Set around season 11. I didn't have a beta for this story, so hopefully there won't be too many grammar errors. A/N: This ISN'T a sweet love story about Ty and Amy, so if you expect it to be, the story might not be for you.

This is an "AU" which starts about 8 years after Season 8 Episode 8. Amy drops Ty off at his trailer after bailing him out and then leaves Heartland and Hudson. They never make it to Pike River.

(AU) After getting herself into a life-changing situation, Amy is sent to stay at Heartland, a horse ranch run by Jack and his grandson, Ty, where inmates work to rehabilitate and re-home abused horses, and help forge a new path for themselves. Based on episode 4.08 One Day and inspired by Anne Howard Creel's novel The Magic of Ordinary Days.

Things have sure changed since Ty's abrupt disappearance 4 years ago. Ty realizes he's not the only one that's changed. Heartland is far from the home he once knew. Amy's moved on. Ty's been in and out of jail. The last thing Amy excepted was for Ty to show up with Jack early one spring morning. (Set during season 5)

AU: Amy is kidnapped by Jesse and must get used to life at the ranch after being gone for over a year. She is starting to get used to things with the help of the new ranch hand Ty.

"Georgie felt like she was confessing to a crime, she was just so guilt-ridden she hadn't been able to protect her sister and bring her home. Her mother had trusted her, and now…" Tragedy strikes the Heartland family. Will they be able to pull through, or will whatever else they have left fall to pieces as well? Set after season 12.

She has broken her engagement to Ty Borden and now the two of them may have to learn to carry on with their lives separated by one too many broken promises as they search to find a way to recapture a dream which is slipping away.

The story is a sequel to my previous story, Four Months. Three months have passed since Ty left Amy in Europe. Now everyone is back in Hudson, dealing with new lifestyles, jobs, and love interests, and a need to figure out what is most important to them. They must discover for themselves if achieving all of their goals in a professional life is worth losing the love of their lives.

Ty knows there's a chance he won't come back and he needs to make sure his life will be taken care of.
