She can only hope to raise them to be fine young women in a world filled with darkness with only small beacons of hope. Will she succeed or will tragedy befall their family again like a curse.

Summer just wanted a better life for her children. She wanted one that in place of anger there was joy. In place of malice there was kindness. In place of fear there was hope. Prequel story revolving around Ruby's pre-hero life all the way up until the night she was accepted into Beacon.
