Poll: Should I post my Original Character-centric Devil May Cry fic? Vote Now! |
![]() Author has written 5 stories for Devil May Cry, StarCraft, and Game X-overs. There's not much to say about me. I go to college for an eventual writing degree, work as an english tutor and enjoy writing stories. Much of my work involves taking an existing IP (yes, in other words fanfiction) but injecting my own characters in as a method for exploring the fictional world a little more thoroughly than the original work does. For anyone interested in taking a look at my stuff before I have a chance to upload it here, it's already available on DeviantArt: A brief summary of my works: MetroidxHalo: Stuck In The Middle With You and Taking Over Me- a pair of crossover stories centering around Samus Aran of Metroid and the Master Chief of Halo their cooperative efforts against the Space Pirates and Covenant. It's gotten to be pretty popular, so...I guess I'm doing something right, huh? It's currently in the middle of Taking Over Me, the second story in a series of...honestly, I'm not sure how many of these I'm doing. They also feature minor cameos from members of Delta Squad from Gears of War. Waking the Hornets Nest- a quick Starcraft/Halo crossover I did of a battle between the Zerg and the Covenant. I've been trying to get a Protoss vs Covenant story together for some time now with little success...kinda hoping Starcraft 2 will kick-start the old creative spark. Diablo 2: Firsthand Account- a retelling of the Diablo 2 story from the perspective of original characters taking the roles of the characters classes (Paladin, Barbarian, Necromancer, etc). Currently at 2 chapters. Devil May Cry: Renegades- my big personal project. Takes place in the Devil May Cry universe, but primarily focuses on original characters, placing it in a bit of an odd limbo between traditional fanfiction and original fiction. Follows the adventures of Fenrir and Hantu, a pair of demon warriors living in the human world in self-imposed exile, and Procne, a human woman armed with an artificial Devil Arm and a thirst for vengence. It's currently in an episodic format, in which each chapter has its own self-contained story, but they all link together into an over-arcing plotline. I'm really looking for good constructive criticism of my work, so let me know what you think. |
