The were lots of things McCoy expected to encounter during his time with Starfleet. Most had come with their own seminar back at the Academy. Time travel hadn't been one of them. An oversight, if you ask him. An AU in which McCoy goes back in time and manages to make things a whole lot better and a whole lot worse, with plenty of help from a teenage Jim.
