Hecatoncheires was a creature in Greek mythology. It was said to be a giant with 50 heads and 100 huge arms. There were three of them: Briareus sometimes called Aegaeon, Cottus, and Gyges sometimes called Gyes. They were born to Gaea and Uranus, whom they hated savagely. Briareus was said to be Zeus' body guard.
