About me: Just your average gentle giant. I love to play football as well as write poetry. Probably my biggest pet peeve is when people see me and assume that I'm just a brute that likes to hurt people. Yeah, I may be the 6'2" 270 pound offensive lineman that looks like I want to rip your head off, but I'm also the 270 pound teddy bear that would do anything to make people smile.

It's quite common actually
Bookworms everywhere
They all assume one thing
"Those meat-heads
In the field over there,
They could never be smart,
Never like to read,
They can't possibly
Be intelligent"
But this is where they are incorrect
In fact,
There are many of us out there
Who use books as an escape
A soothing remedy
To a weary mind
After the physical pain
Of an athlete's day.
So the next time you see
A "dumb jock"
Stop and think
For just a second
That maybe,
Just maybe
They are a bookworm as well
