Post Cap2: Steve and Sam travel together searching for Bucky. Antsy about what he'll say when they eventually find him, Steve's been writing speeches on postcards. They start out simple enough but when is writing confessionals to your best friend turned Hydra Killing-Machine ever simple?

But then he speaks finally, his voice littered with something dangerously close to disbelief. "You're - you're pregnant." She meets his gaze, challenging. "Aren't you going to kill me?" she spits, her voice slightly wavering. The sight of him angers her. "Well, aren't you, traitor?"

And that mere thought, one that had only come from the darkest parts of her mind, causes her to move. She takes one hesitant step, then another, before slowly and surely coming to rest before him. Her knees bend almost against her own will and her hands reaches out, cupping the glass and brushing against his fingers.

She never really belonged. Not truly.

Skye and Simmons re-christen the wall.

She pretended that she did not love him.

He remembers dark hair, dark eyes, and olive-colored skin; his mind flashes to a brilliant laugh, white teeth, and the feeling of her lips against his.

He should've seen the signs; he should seen the way she looked at him.

It takes Skye and Jemma five hours and 44 minutes to get together, and only one minute for Ward to get his 10.

His eyes flash, once again. "I never screwed around with you," his voice cracks. "You were the one thing that kept me anchored to this crazy, screwed up world; you were the only thing that kept me sane, and I feel in love with you."

The team go on a mission to try and stop Centipede once and for all, but understand surveillance of a warehouse Jemma Simmons see's a girl that no one else can. Does it mean something? Can the girl help?

Four of the plane's occupants sleep that night. Of the remaining two, one lies unconscious, the other never shutting his eyes for a moment.

He finds her planted firmly on the worn leather couch in the commons area, staring blankly at a static covered screen on the opposite wall.

"Well, all I'm saying is that in all the stories the heroes go out in a blaze of glory; like saving someone's life or during a big final battle?" She looks around their surroundings. "Not in some shady alleyway in New York City."

Nightmares are not foreign to Jemma Simmons, but this one is different, and she can't shake it off. Leo Fitz knows something is wrong the moment she passes his bunk, so he goes down after her to the lab, not expecting to see her so distressed as she was.

Fitz and Simmons are locked in a retail store overnight. Mostly pre-canon fluff inspired by the season six episode 'Castaways' of Dawson's Creek (from which it gets its name).
