The man who saves targets of the smuggling operation known as The Republic. Soon, Marguerite gets mixed up in the drama when she is blackmailed into helping a member of the Republic into figuring out who the Scarlet Pimpernel really is.

Exactly what does the League do when the Scarlet Pimpernel is off causing trouble without them?

Chauvelin has been arrested and sent to the Temple Prison where he gets a most unexpected cellmate...

It occurred to me the other day that Chauvelin from Scarlet Pimpernel and Javert from Les Miserables are remarkably similar characters. That in mind, I wrote a (very) short scene that is based on Javert's death in Les Mis, using SP characters.
