An AU in which young Adam was an innocent victim caught up in his father's past mistakes, and Belle a willing presence seeking to repay her own father's debt. AU. Prince Adam is never cursed and grows into a spoiled, self-centered adult. When an attempt to flee his responsibilities backfires, he ends up stranded in a small provincial town. Can he find his way out before anyone discovers who he really is? Or will his budding friendship with a beautiful but funny girl cause him to reconsider his plans entirely?
