More Than You Seem (A RWBY Fanfiction)

After spending years of her life training, Weiss Schnee was finally ready to attend Beacon Academy. Yet, when she tries to take the Atlas Training School’s graduation test to prove her worth, there’s a catch: she needs a partner! With time running out and her father determined to keep her inside the doors of the Schnee Manor now more than ever, Weiss couldn’t afford to turn down the only opportunity she had. Too bad that opportunity was stupid, stubborn, and named Cardin Winchester.

After failing the graduation test with Cardin the first time, no one can blame Weiss for her lack of enthusiasm to be partnered with him for her second- and final- attempt. However, between her father getting closer to the truth, Beacon's deadline fast approaching, and the fact that there is literally no one else left to partner with, Weiss can't say no. Even if she really, really wants to.

At first glance, it seems impossible that the two could ever work together, much less become friends. However, when a battle between the two rages and emotions run high, the two are able to find common ground between one another, as little as it is. Eventually, Weiss comes to realize Cardin is more than he seems, and when things take a turn for the worst, she'd be surprised at who she could rely on to be a friend.
