Boy, it's amazing how it has been almost seven years since I first started my account on here. It's also amazing to see how many people have stumbled upon my account and took the time to read some of my work. I'm also surprised at my own growth as a writer; when I look back at my oldest writings, I cringe at how bad and rushed they were. I hope that I'll be able to please you even more with every chapter that I submit to my stories. Thanks for all of your support and always stay patient for my story updates.

Hello everybody! This is Marcus Wolfe. I'm just a regular guy who's found his hobby in writing eleven years ago and have been writing on here for the past seven years. It's all been a lot of fun, though now being a responsible adult has put a damper on some of my abilities to both write chapters and post new ones in a timely fashion. Ah, the joys of no longer being a teenager and college student with slightly stunted responsibilities.

That said, there's always this kind of excitement I'll get when I can complete and post a chapter during one of my crazy busy moments. Granted that taking graduate courses to become a middle or high school teacher isn't easy; completing little things like this really provides a confidence booster that I'll soon be able to become a teacher. For those of you young enough to be in middle or high school right now in California, you might unknowingly see me around in one of your classes. Wouldn't that be fun?

But seriously, being able to write has always been a joy for me. I hope to become an author one day, but that dream's slightly unrealistic since becoming any kind of good recognized author is a bit like winning the lottery; there has to be a bit of luck with both the publishing agency liking what you produce and the people actually enjoying what you give them. I may never become the next J.K. Rowling, but it doesn't mean I can't try to reach that bar she set so high!

Anyway, that's all I really have to say about myself. I know; my life is generally boring with adult stuff. Playing video games does a good job at reconnecting me to my inner kid. As some would say, you're only as young as you feel and believe yourself to be. ...Okay, that's probably more towards what old people would say. Still, that's true for having a positive mindset!

So yeah, I do hope that you all enjoy what I post on here. My style's more towards fantasy action, but I have recently been into the mystery aspect of writing based on the format of Phoenix Wright. That's what I'm really into right now and proud of; I can't tell you how hard it's been to create a story full of mystery in which I don't accidentally contradict myself as a writer when I don't want to yet. I'm telling you, there have been a few times where that's happened. I suppose it's because I never plan ahead when making the chapters and simply work "in the moment" of the story; that's what makes writing so fun, though! It's the randomness and being able to see what your brain can come up with and how it can connect with a future event that has never been planned until the moment it comes up. there's just nothing like it for me as a writer!

By the way, here's a cool quote that somebody made from the song titles of the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It's pretty creative. The words capitalized in the quote means that they belong to the song's name:

"To Speak with Your Heart, you need to Open Your Heart. But in order for that to happen, you need to Live and Learn in His World. Then you will be a Knight of the Wind by showing What I'm Made of. But remember... the world has Endless Possibilities, so It Doesn't Matter what happens so long as you Reach for the Stars..."

Update (not really an update after being up for a few years now, but I'm just keeping it up as a reminder of the idea I have for this):

Well, I just came up with a story idea that for some strange reason I'm feeling quite excited about. For those of you who have read the second author's note at the bottom of my poorly titled story but definitely not shabby story, "From an Underground is Borne Resistance", you'll know what I'm talking about. The new story idea that I've come up with concerns with a human and a werewolf. So sue me; besides the dragon, my favorite mythological creature is the werewolf! I just love the idea of how they can change from human to wolf in a matter of seconds and can come in a variety of colors, or at least colors very plausible to real live wolves with the exception of those portrayed in fictional stories. I even went so far as to fuse my love for both dragon and werewolf to create in my mind a creature called the were-dragon, a creature that only comes into being every full moon from a dragon who has been bitten by a werewolf. Don't ask me how that came to be, and I'm pretty doubtful that I'm going to put that concept in any of my other stories being that he's been in my imagination for over six years now.

Anyway, back to the main topic at hand. While I really don't have much to go on for the idea to be taken off the drawing board, there are a few things that I'm already sure on. The first one is that it's going to involve a human and a werewolf, something that was already mentioned earlier; the second is that it's going to have strong friendship themes within an adventurous survival backdrop, and it currently has the tentative title, "The Human and the Werewolf". I have no idea if that's the title I'm going to be sticking with, but at least it's something to call my project.

I'm also not sure what character universe I'm going to base this on, but it's definitely not going to be in the Sonic universe. What I have planned is a sort of serious tone with some semblance of humor every now and then; I see the Sonic universe as mostly humorous and can survive without a lot of serious moments. Sonic Hedgehog Investigations, one of my stories here, is probably the most serious I can see Sonic and his friends being while still trying to make the whole thing sound relatively lighthearted despite the now serious tones I have in recent chapters.

What I'm thinking about is basing it on the Digimon Adventure characters, but I've just recently started watching the Japanese versions of the anime and have yet become well versed with the characterizations of all the characters. Yes, I know that anime is almost thirteen years old, but I find it's never too late to find and like any kind of anime! I might also base it with some of the characters of Digimon Adventure 2 being that I know this and it's animated predecessor are connected, but I have never even watched any of those episodes yet and will get to that after finishing the first season.

For those of you who read my profile, I would like for you to tell me or even give me some ideas as to how this story can become something I can post on this site. And just to say, I'm kind of a purist in that I prefer characters acting within their assigned character persona as much as possible with the occasional out-of-character moment here and there. I don't really like the idea of characters being completely OOC in stories except for very few exceptions. With that said, suggestions on how the story can be turned into a readable story will be very helpful. You can just send me a private message if you feel like responding and helping me with this sudden project that I just can't wait to take out of the drawing room. And if any of you do have suggestions and I choose to act on them, I will give you recognition in my story. I never take credit for story ideas that did not originally came from me nor do I claim any scenes that I twist around from any suggestions to be purely my own creation.

That and I'm not familiar with the community area of this site, and I tend to stay away from places I'm not familiar with, both real life and online.
