Hello!

Obviously, my name is Maryse Lightwood-Wayland as I believe you already had figured out. I'd prefer not to talk about my age, since I have no intention of telling you. It's not like I have anything against you, but I just don't feel like talking about my age. Anyways, moving on, I don't intend to brag, but I'm often described as gorgeous. And just a piece of advise, if you're going to criticize my looks, then don't expect me to remain quiet, because I hate rude people. I have long, ink-black hair and blue eyes. I share the same slender eyebrows, pale, high-colored skin as my son Alec. I'm quite tall if I may say so, but not that tall. But I am taller than my daughter, Isabelle, who's 5'9.

I'm also very interested in cooking because of various reasons. First, as a child I used to love the feeling of returning to a home that smells of cooked food, therefore I want my own children to be able to experience that feeling too. Second, it's the only thing that makes me feel human, except for my family. Everyday, I face demons and evil, which humans would call a nightmare, a fantasy. I live in a distant world, away from humanity. I myself is practically counted as a creature of fantasy, an angel. Therefore, as I'm cooking I can feel human.

I'm very proud of being a shadowhunter, as I can protect my dear family. I spent most of my childhood training and practicing to become an acknowledged Shadowhunter with willpower and passion and according to others, I have succeeded in doing so. But still, a Shadowhunter is never perfect and you can always improve. Therefore, I'm still training and practicing when I have the time to do so.

I'm currently a part of the family of Lightwood-Wayland. I'm the biological mother of Alexander, Maxwell and Isabelle. But Amelia and Rufus is also counted as my children, but it's just that I didn't give birth to them. I see all of the people and all kinds of people as a family, despite the fact that we might not have a blood connection or even if we don't have a connection through family register. I see them as family, they are my family. Therefore, if you dare to mess with them, you should know that I won't just sit here and watch them get hurt. I'll fight. Even if you are as strong as a god, I definitely won't back down. This is my truth, they are my life.
