![]() Author has written 10 stories for Phantom of the Opera, Harry Potter, and RENT. --"I am no one of consiquence-- only a heart that bleeds romance."-- Robert Frost Hello, and welcome to the profile of Don Juan's Red death! Please take your seats and allow me to introduce myself to these charming ladies and gents who took the time out of their day to come and find out more about me. _Background information: I am a teen who loves to read and write, I have only just begun fanfiction and hope to make a good impression on the readers. Though I cannot say that I have little experience writing, because I am working on a work of original fiction which I plan to publish. Here is where I will post my non-original work as usual: however the story will almost always have different parings than in the original. Now I am not one of those writers who normally bashes other characters, I will however often use the regular names that the people are called in the original works or sometimes even a synonym for such a name when I feel that said name has become repetitive. I have recently read Susan Kay's version of Phantom though I said I never would. To be honest, I found it rather desturbing and somewhat boring. (The first chapter was good at least.) This is not meant to sound prejudice or rude, nor to imply that the writings of those of us who have based our works on this version are bad. I simply feel that the original work is the best and nothing will ever change that. The writings of Kay and Fortsworth in their adaptations are I am sure ones that have warmed the hearts of many fans of all ages, but they just seem to me to be rather pointless. After all if Leroux hadn't written the original horror novel then there would be no basis for these works to fall back on. This is not to say that I do not enjoy the many films and adaptations that I have seen over the past eleven years since the age of four. My favorite adaptation was done by MM. Michael Crawford and Steve Barton during the written play composed by Andrew Lloyd Webber simply for the quality of the music. But once again I will tell you that if Leroux hadn't written the original horror novel then there would be no basis for these works to fall back on. My stories: are ones that tend to air on either the darker side or the romantic side, perhaps even a combination of the two. I am just not a writer who dose humor though I do enjoy reading it when I need a good laugh. Favorite parings: Phantom of the Opera-Erik/Christine. (For only two things are forever: Love and music.) Pirates of the Carribean- Will/Elizabeth ( Jack is charming but not noble and that is what she needs) Harry Potter- Harry/ Cho,(one never looses their first love) Hermionie/ Draco, (The ones who hate you the most are usuall the ones who love you more than anything) Lord of the rings- Legolas/Arwen (Ahh, and the handsome prince and his beautiful lady, such a romantic setting.) Aragorn/Eyowen, (It is a shadow into light) Inuyasha- Kagome/Shessomaru, (The one who hates human's finds the one who soften his heart.) Inuyasha/Kikiyou, (the love of his life) Sweeney Todd: Lucy/Todd, (There was a barber and his wife and she was beautiful) Johanna/Anthony, ( I feel you Johanna) RENT- Roger/Mark, ( The only slash I like) Maureen/Joanne, (I will, I do) Angel/Collins, (Oh lover, I'll cover you) Characters and Characterizations: Erik: I tend to lean towards Lon Chaney's characterization when it comes to the Leroux-verse for his looks and Michael Crawford's for the Webber-verse. His personallity however is the combination of the gothic romance of Butler and sometimes the cruelty of the real Erik when he is in a black mood. He is deformed from birth and always will be. Period. It will not get fixed, healed or treated. I have no objection to the works of those who deem it just that he should have a normal face in the end; but to me the kind of ruins the whole tradgedy of the romace. Honestly people this is not beauty and the beast! His voice will have the sinister quality of Butler but the light deepness of Crawford's tenor making a voice that I feel is truly worthy of the Phantom. Christine: I am quite partial to the looks of Emmy Rossum. I prefer the eyes of Sarah Brightmon, ocean-blue eyes and obvious curves that are not yet fully developed but with a certain air of a womanly figure about her. She will however have a touch of spunk in her how much will depend on the story. Her voice will have the range of Emmy Rossum with the purity of Charolette Church and the fullness of Brighton. When in the Leroux-verse she will be blonde and slightly more timid than in the Webber-verse but only slightly. I tend to take the charecter of the beautiful primma-donna and gradually develop it so that she will become stronger and more mature as the story progresses. Raoul: This charecter, is one that I do not particularlly care for. He will of course sometimes play the role of vilian in my work, and sometimes he will be a sidekick to other heros of my own creation. He will have the look of Wilson with an added amount of muscles and the voice of Barton mixed in with the sweetness of Wilson. As for the personality trates of the Vicomte De Chagny, he will in the Leroux-verse be exactly as the author made him. Niave, impulsive, exacting. A love-struck young man who is really no more than a boy at heart. In the Webber-verse he will have the same foolish impulsuveness but a fierce and somewhat overprotective need to shelter Christine from everything. He may become slightly arrogant as the story progresses but he will always be a gentleman. Other important information: Concerning homosexual parings: I have nothing whatsoever againts people who choose to be this orientation or choose to write a story where the charecters are as such. I have never actually read any fics pertaining to this paring save for one called "Pass Time" by Lucifer Rosevant and thought that the writing was very well done. But the characters in my stories will always be heterosexual, becase I am just not good at writing same sex romances and deem it not my best style of writing. Concerning sexual content: This I feel is a normal part of life between two lovers in my opinion, as such I believe that it is propper to be realistic in my stories and as such this means that my some of my stories will be under the M rating while others wil be rated T with only minor passions. and as such if you are under age please do not read M rated works and stick to the T rated section. If you are of age and just do not care for that sort of thing, skip through it I don't mind. Concerning flames: Your assertion that time out of your life was wasted or any other rude thing you have to say is entirely your fault and your responsibility. You CHOSE to read my stories, unless someone tied you to a rock and threatened to throw you from the pier; in which case I suggest you notify your local authorities. On the off chance that you are charading as a fully-conscious human being, I suggest that you CHOOSE to read your own writing and therefore you will be assured of never wasting precious moments learning anything that doesn't fall into your realm of acceptable linear expenditures. The only acceptable response is positive and encouraging or constructive critisim. Otherwise, please follow Thumpers' advice; "If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all." Concerning Gerard Butler: Ok... look I am not saying this to be mean to all you "Gerik" fans out there but as to my personal opinion of Butler's preformance. IT SUCKED ROYALLY the only part that I liked was the whole gothic gravely tones in his voice. They were the only things that gave it any feeling at all. I myself find that he was the worst actor in the world when he did the, "Damn you, curse you!" lines. He had no emotion, it was way off key: (Trust me I know I play saxaphone and have a book of the score which is written much higher.) also he sings in a monotone! As to his looks, they were not even beleivable! Don't get me wrong I thought he was charming and all, but if you notice Michael Crawford looked damn good in that costume and his deformity was much more realistic. It is OK for him to look good with the mask on but he should not look georgeous with it off. It takes away from the whole terror/tragic aspect of the play, movie, book, or whichever you prefer. To all those who think he gave the phantom that real person feeling. I strongly disagree particularly at the end when he says, "Christine I love you!" he hardly cries and doesn't do anything but sit there and look at her. When Michael did it he was on his knees, weeping her name and shouting "I love you's" at her while cradeling her disgarded bridal vail. This is after the first "I love you" as he hears and sees her leaving with her fiancee. I think that was the real person feeling. For all the Butler, Warlow and JOJ fans I respect those guys in general but Michael Crawford is amazing.
