In the tiny speck of the globe called Lithuania, at the shores of the Baltic Sea, near to the geographical center of Europe there lives, well, there lives me, the oldest of three children in an average normal family. We are all grown up now, and I love my only little niece, which is now two, and among all of my family and loved ones I am the only household without any pet. I am also the only one who has lived in other country for a while, and tried exotic things like yacht sailing in the Mediterranean, visited Santa in his village in Rovaniemi, Finland (got pictures to prove he exists!), rode camels in the Sahara and experienced a cruise over the Nile. But that is just holiday, few short days, long and far in-between. Aside from that, I am someone no-one knows. I work a lot, and by that I really mean a lot, spending my days in a closed little office as translator of technical and medical things, just rarely surfacing the face of Planet Earth to get some sleep, or drive someone somewhere, or just go do some other good deed of the day. Even in the city I was born, I walk unnoticed and unrecognized. I am gay in the land where being one is not a happy experience. No, they don't stone us to death, but still, the woman I love, I can't marry, and the son she has I won't ever be able to call mine. During the years, I had many interests - I can't call them hobbies in all honesty, they come and go, as seasons change, and I change alongside with them, - so hopefully I won't just roll over and die, should I ever find myself stranded on a desert island. I read a lot, and by that I also mean a lot a lot, just not heavy stuff. Fantasy. Fan Fiction. History. Mythology. I read to learn about the people and to satisfy my never-ending thirst of Happy Ending. During the years, I have written different things, written world being my own type of magic, my own way to will things to life. Maybe that's why the stories I wrote are about very human humans, each with their own strengths and weaknesses, strong women and the type of love that is coming home to where you belong. That is all I've ever wanted. My happy ending. And I believe it will come. Someday. In the meanwhile, happy reading, and should you take some time to read my words, - I thank you. |
