I managed to read the entire stephanie plum saga in a month's time. I've always been slightly obsessive when it comes to books-I'll find an author I like and then spend every waking, non-working moment absorbing everything they've put out in the world. I'll take their imaginary world over my real world anyday. So that's how I happened to fall in love with the 'Burg, with Trenton, with the Rangemen, and especially with Ranger. I don't dislike Joe, I just think he'd be better off with a Nurse and remaining one of Steph's oldest and best friends. I'm still fairly new to fanfiction. I only discovered it 2 months ago, but I think I've read almost every Ranger/Steph story out there. (remember, obsessive.) I've enjoyed them immensely and hope to give something back that you, my favorite authors will also enjoy. I have a couple stories running around my head and once I have them committed to paper, I'll think about sharing them here.
