Hello visitor of my profile,

Before I start introducing myself I want you to know that English is my 2nd language and that my spelling/writing isn't that good, according to the Cambridge Proficiency Exams (CPE C1 level) it was weak.

I am:"Niet boeiend" its a Dutch word meaning Not Important, I chose this name because I don't see myself as somebody who is important I merely want to help people write their Inheritance stories and try to give advise here and there, moreover the abbreviation of my name is NB meaning Nota Bene. If somebody wants to address me please use either Niet boeiend or NB because addressing me with:"Niet" only means:"not" and that just doesn't sound right. So my name is:"Niet boeiend" I live in the Netherlands in Veldhoven close to Eindhoven

For the ones who do not know anything about Eindhoven or Veldhoven, Einhoven is where Phillips began and VDL (They create all sorts of things from buss interiors to machines that make Pringles, in Velhoven world's #1 chip machine producer is situated namely ASML.

Most may have already noticed that I am a huge fan of the Inheritance cycle and that I would love to write a good fanfiction myself, the only problem is that I already have a writers block without having written one single word, combine that with my rubbish spelling and you have a person who will never be able to write a proper story so I just took my liking in reading the stories of other writers and that's when I came up with the list. I'd like to make a list with stories that I think are as good as the Inheritance-Cycle. I am sorry to say that I like the Inheritance-cycle the way it is, therefor I don't read many stories that change the original story nor do I read many AU or Pre-Inheritance stories and so there will be mainly Post Inheritance stories on the list. Well without further ado here are the criteria that I set up for a book to make it on the list.

  1. This is probably the most important thing of all namely the title and the words, I won't read a story with less than 1000 words each chapter and it will not be on this list when it doesn't have at least 5000 words per chapter on average. Furthermore if you don't have a summary or spelling mistakes in the summary/ title I will likely not read your work that brings me to the next point.
  2. Spelling, this will be the easiest point to get, my spelling is far from perfect so I'll miss most spelling errors however if I notice a large amount of spelling errors and it starts to distract me/ annoy me than there is no place for you on the list.
  3. Vocabulary, I have noticed that I tend to like books which put me to the test, I don't want to know every single word in the work I read. I like it when people use synonyms E.G. exultation
  4. Use descriptive language, this is the most important thing on the list but it is also the most difficult one on the list. Descriptive language is used to convey a message by making a mental picture of it. E.G. You can make a dialogue like this between Roran and Eragon
    "How is Katrina
    "She is ill"
    Or
"How is Katrina" he asked softly. Roran's face darkened at the thought of his beloved wife, his eyes started to water. He answered softly and Eragon could hear the grief in his voice"She is ill"
See the difference besides the second one being a lot better it also has a lot more words making it easier for a writer to get a decent amount of words.
  5. Characters, this is the thing that will require most work. If you truly want to understand a character you need to read the parts in the book where he/she shows emotion. I have no problems with characters changing but than that has to be done over a extensive time period like 100 years and keep in mind that the character you change can't be the only one that changes. E.G. there are many stories in which either Arya changes to this full of love elf in only 5 years or that Eragon returns after 200 years and he is still the same young farm boy as he was when he defeated Galby. Face it in 5 years one cannot change that much and after 200 years of being in control you have changed for sure
Another important issue in this is which characters die. I'm sorry to say but please don't let every friend of Eragon become a dragon rider. There are far too many stories in which Katrina, Roran, Nasuada and Ismira are riders, like I said before I really like the books and I don't see Roran as somebody who would ever leave Carvahal again, I can see Ismira becomming a rider.
The last characters people have trouble with are Eragon and the Eldunarí, Eragon discovered 136 eldunarí in the vault, he got more than 136 insane Eldunarí from Galby giving him power to do whatever he likes, he is also not a full rider when he kills Galby he still has a lot to learn please show this progress.

I might just add a few things later on but I do have 1 title for the list already

Ill also make a list with stories I really like but not enough to add them to this list
