![]() Author has written 47 stories for Phantom of the Opera, Sherlock Holmes, Boondock Saints, Walking Dead, and Supernatural. Hello, newcomer! I'm AngelxPhoenix, aspiring author, diehard scribbler, and rabid, shameless fangirl! BACKGROUND INFO: I'm a walking contradiction...cynical, romantic, gifted, clueless, spiritual, physical; I'm on the cusp of air and water (Cancemini in the house!) and continuously drawn to earth and fire. I haven't had the optimist stomped out of me yet, though many have tried. I have a raging caffeine addiction, and if you shoot me a PM I'll tell you about the time I mixed coffee and Red Bull. Yeah, that wasn't a good day...I'm solution-oriented, so when you combine that with my tendency to take immediate action, you best believe I can get things done! I'm something of a hot-head--all right, I lied, I'm impulsive as all get out, but I try to stop and think before I jump in, I really do. I tend to curse but I try to keep it toned down unless I'm good and riled, then it's F-bombs away. I'm insanely proud of my heritage, stormy as it is: English, Irish, Scottish, Norse, Welsh. Read it and weep! That being said, I love being an American, and while I'm Midwestern by birth, after living half my life in Tennessee the South has claimed me for her own. And I'm the person people turn to for...whatever. You need me, I'm there! michellemybelle25 is my hero. FANDOMS: First and foremost, The Phantom of the Opera. Always and forever. And crazy as it sounds, I love both Erik AND Raoul! That's right, I said it! My views regarding the characters have changed a lot over the years, and I'm determined to be fair to both. I won't pretend Erik isn't an unstable, unpredictable, dangerous man, and I won't bash Raoul for squat when it takes a special kind of love and devotion to go to the lengths he went to for Christine. After long and serious reflection, I decided Erik and Christine are doomed, at best, and wrong for each other. Barring a few rare exceptions, I'm firmly an R/Cer and an E/OCer. Stick that in your pipe and smoke it! Next up, The Boondock Saints. OH. HELL. YES. "Rabid" definitely applies here. Connor and Murphy are a packaged deal, so I'm not about to choose just one, know what I'm saying? And by a show of hands, who still gets goosebumps when they hear that prayer? Hey, T. Duff, give us the third movie already! Onto The Walking Dead. I admit, I haven't read a single one of the comics, but it's on my to-do list. The series, however, is hands-down my favorite thing on TV. I love that it's so character driven, and a great balance between action, horror, and drama. And don't even get me started on the performances the actors give! (By the way, ladies, Daryl Dixon is mine. Try to steal him from me, and I will chain you to a rooftop where you will be forced to cut off your own hand to escape from a herd of walkers.) One more thing: For better or worse, worse being what we're stuck with, I SHIP BETHYL, MOTHERF*KERS! Next, Harry Potter. This WAS my childhood, and corny as it sounds, it shaped the person I am today. I've always got room for Harry in my heart and on my shelves, and there is still nothing like going back to Hogwarts after all these years. J.K. Rowling remains one of my biggest influences and role models, and I'm forever grateful for the amazing world she gave us in her books. Last but not least, Supernatural. I've watched since the beginning, and I'm not about to change my ways! I never get tired of the Winchester boys, and who among us can listen to "Carry On Wayward Son" the same way again? Or "Eye of the Tiger," for that matter...And don't forget Baby! She is to SPN as the chandelier is to POTO! Other noteworthy ones include Sherlock Holmes, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Outlander, The Hunger Games, Game of Thrones, Lord of the Rings, and Doctor Who. And Lord knows I love to talk about all of them! FAVORITE MOVIES: The Phantom of the Opera (I've seen five versions and the '04 is my fave. Joel Schumacher can get stuffed, but I freaking loved Gerry Butler and Patrick Wilson. And I'll defend my opinion to the ground, thank you very much), The Boondock Saints, Hard Candy, The Lion King, Dirty Dancing, The Patriot, Rob Roy, The Princess Bride, Sabrina (both versions!), , Alice In Wonderland, Lord of the Rings FAVORITE SINGERS/BANDS Bryan Adams, Garth Brooks, Goo Goo Dolls, Celtic Woman, Fleetwood Mac, Sherrie Austin, Evanescence, Bob Dylan, Celine Dion, George Strait, AC/DC, Nickelback, Keith Urban, Dierks Bentley, Seether, Metallica, Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Snow Patrol, Red Hot Chili Peppers, the Civil Wars FAVORITE BOOKS: The Phantom of the Opera by Gaston Leroux, Wildwood Dancing by Juliet Marillier, Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen, the Bloody Jack series by L.A. Meyer, the Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling, The Princess Bride by William Goldman, Opera Macabre by Michelle Rodriguez, Captain Corelli's Mandolin by Louis de Bernieres, Jane Two by Sean Patrick Flanery Here's a few quotes for good measure! I may be mad, I may be blind, I may be viciously unkind, but I can still read what you're thinking - Annie Lennox ("Why") Without music, life would be a mistake. - Friedrich Nietzsche If my thought-dreams could be seen, they'd probably put my head in a guillotine - Bob Dylan ("It's Alright, Ma (I'm Only Bleeding)") I like nonsense, it wakes up the brain cells. - Dr. Seuss If I knew what I was doing, I'd be doing it right now - the Kinleys ("I'm In") There is a fine line between genius and insanity. I have erased this line. - Oscar Levant You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one - John Lennon ("Imagine") A day without laughter is a day wasted. - Charlie Chaplin As long as one heart still holds on, then hope is never really gone. - Garth Brooks ("The Change") I am so clever that sometimes I don't understand a single word of what I am saying. - Oscar Wilde You may be right, I may be crazy, but it just may be a lunatic you're looking for. - Billy Joel ("You May Be Right") The question isn't who is going to let me; it's who's going to stop me. - Ayn Rand Let 'em stare, I don't care, 'cause I'm exception to the rule, they're only jealous 'cause I'm so cool. - Carlene Carter ("I'm So Cool") Everything you can imagine is real. - Pablo Picasso Her freedom and innocence has brought this whole thing down. - Shinedown ("Her Name Is Alice") I reject your reality and substitute my own. - Adam Savage | |||||||
