![]() Author has written 34 stories for Lord of the Rings, David Eddings, Bill, Doctor Who, Torchwood, House, M.D., Sherlock, Radio Dramas, and Dragonriders of Pern series. After many a long year, I found my way back here and found it in need of a revamp. First things first, my email is walthamstowas4eva@hotmail.com if you'd like to talk or want a beta. Honest, I don't bite. Barring a miracle and me finding my log-in details, this is my only remaining account on this site. It used to host slash and stronger stories that I didn't want my younger brothers to see, but they're long past the stage of being disturbed by anything they read, so this can host everything from now on. I used to write for so many fandoms...I was so young and so keen. Most of them no longer exist. Nowadays, I enjoy Doctor Who, but my Doctor will always be a glowering Northerner in a leather jacket. I dabble in Sherlock and Welcome to Night Vale; Lord of the Rings, Discworld and House will always hold a special place in my heart. There probably isn't an epic fantasy in existence that I haven't read and argued with. Offline, I write and sometimes publish short SF / Fantasy, poetry and non-fiction. I once, after a long saga, had a novel traditonally published and the process nearly killed me. It was almost worth it. Currently, I'm working on a non-fiction charity book and a lightly fictionalised account of an operation in WW2 which is about to make me fail my history degree by forcing me to research the wrong century. I work with horses; I enjoy football and travel as well as music. I'm an active beta but could take on a couple more. I found my way back because of a one shot The Bill challenge fic which grew and grew and grew. Now novel length, it's with the beta, but I thought I'd best see how the site had changed in my absence. It made me realise how much I loved this place, so I thought I'd find pieces I'd written over the years and start posting again. And because he says it much better than I ever could, a quote from Neil Gaiman: 'Growing up is highly over-rated. Just be an author.' It's good to be back. | |||||||
