![]() Author has written 3 stories for Doctor Who. Some of you may know me as DragonFly from A Teaspoon and an Open Mind. Some of my stories will be posted here, certainly the finished ones. I am a Whovian and proud. I also love Torchwood. I'm an undisputed Doctor/Rose and Jack/Gwen Jack/Ianto shipper - though I am not averse to reading about any other ships. I'm generally a bit of a nit picker with grammar - with the annoying exception of my own work (I'm usually typing to fast to notice) so if you are looking for a beta, you are quite welcome to ask. I have a cat whom I call Why-Why, after the sound of her meow. She is quite possibly the daftest creature to walk the face of the earth, and has a fixation with jewellery. I am currently under the suspicion that the jewellery I receive as gifts is not actually intended for me... I've been told I'm nuttier than squirrel turd. Truth be told, they're probably right. I love go-carting, and the likes. I'm an avid horse-rider, and adore my daft little gelding and our adventures around the countryside. I'm the type of mad person who loves air turbulence on planes and wants to fly through a thunderstorm, just to see what it's like. I'm also one of the people who will walk into an inanimate object and apologise, or if I walk into something that can't speak, I will say "Ouch" for it. Please don't ask why, I'm still trying to figure it out for myself. I love making people laugh, and generally do so with my daft ramblings. I can quite often be found on the windowsill engulfed in my own thoughts, and occasionally I'll start spouting them out loud. Long ago I heard someone say, "I don't fear death, I fear time." It took me a while to understand them, but I do now. And I agree. I don't fear death, for I believe that there is something else afer life, and I will find out when the time comes. It's the time that bothers me. Just how much time have I got? And that's something I'll never know, and never want to know, so I live by the age old saying, "Live every day like it's your last." The recent death of my aunt has made me apprieciate this more than ever. I love quotes that make me laugh and relay them to my friends - Ianto Jones from Torchwood supplies MANY of these. I love warm sunny days where I have nothing better to do than lie with my horse and relax. I love spending time with my friends, being silly and having fun. I love learning (or attempting to learn) new languages. I love songs that have you singing them for years to come. I love films that make you laugh and cry. I love life, basically. |
