This marks my return to writing after taking about a 3 year break following my last story: Chronicles of Zelda I: Darkness Rising under the profile Link of Hylia. If anyone's interested, they should check it out but I'm not exactly proud of that one, which was written when I was significantly younger and lacked any sort of specific direction.

Just in case anyone cares:

Age: 20

Favorite movies include Batman Begins, the Lord of the Rings series (and books), most of the Star Wars episodes - I don't know if I'm alone on this but I almost felt like crying when the order was given in episode 3 to kill all the Jedi (turning point of the entire series, and anyone who is a longtime fan might know what I'm talking about) - seriously, it was sad.

Favorite tv series: Heroes (come on, how does anyone not like it?), Battlestar Galactica, Lost, Scrubs

Twilight Princess/Ocarina of Time - two greatest games for any system, ever (please don't make me choose betweent the two - I don't want to think that hard)

So anyway, the brief list above is provided so that you all can see where I draw some inspiration from. Don't get me wrong, I will not be directly referencing or stealing plot points and ideas from them, but everybody is influenced by something.

The Legend of Zelda: Rebellion

This story is obviously an AU, set in a futuristic version of Hyrule. My basic design for the work is to make something that is incredibly fast paced, more like a movie, but has strong character development - kind of like the best of both worlds. I really hope nobody will get bored with the story and there definitely won't be chapters that waste anybody's time with corny dialogue or anything like that (and no flashback episodes - screw that). A lot of the important historic details of the world as a whole and aspects of character's personality will be told through conversation so not everything about everybody will be known right away. This is important so that I can actually surprise you guys with developments. Don't worry, though, obviously there'll be foreshadowing - you can guess.

Anyway, I hope the fiction keeps everyone as intriqued as I hope it will - read and enjoy
