![]() Author has written 1 story for Harry Potter. Greetings, ladies and gents (I use both terms as loose as a French wh... ehem you get the point. We all know that chivalry and chastity died ages ago thus the terms will remain loose.), Well now that the pleasantries are in the, I mean out of the way, I feel it is my obligation (and prerogative) to inform all of you as to the nature of my existence; not necessarily who I am physically speaking but more along the lines of who I am in the world of online literature (and in my soul). I was born in the wrong era, now I know what you are thinking, every bloody person with a pea's worth of brains between there ears thinks that, and where you are right, they are wrong. You see I believe that the only reason things such as chivalry and chastity are dead is because they were allowed to die. If humans had kept to the ideals of their past (at least the good ones) then certain things that go on in today's society would be unheard of. Alright by now you may have realized that I am a hypocrite. I say that I belong to a different era yet I am using the inventions of this era for my own personal gain. Well your right. I will even give you one better, where I may make an attempt at being chivalrous I am not chaste whatsoever (at least you don't know me so your mental image at this point isn't to gross, oops did I make it worse). So... Why do I say I belong to a different era, well, I let you figure that one out (good luck!!) ;-) Alright now I'd like to let you all in on my literary background: I am going to list my Favorite authors in the order of my favoritism from 'Greatest' to 'Still Very Good': 1.) J.R.R. Tolkein (One of the fathers of modern fantasy) 2.) J.K.Rowling (Like the rest of the world I too have fallen head over heals for her creations) 3.) Anne McCaffrey (Her 'Dragon Riders of Pern' series is her best, but I love all of her work!) 4.) Kurt Vonnegut (Really makes you think) 5.) Terry Brooks (I haven't read all of the Shannara books but I have read another series of his and some non-serial types, plus he wrote the book for Star Wars Episode One, and it was much better than the movie) 6.) Orson Scott Card (I enjoyed the Alvin Maker series, as well as some of his other stuff.) 7.) Edgar Allan Poe (very twisted dude) 8.) Robert Jordan (I was skeptical at first, but after I read the first book I ended up buying all of the 'Wheel of Time' series, and have read all of the currently published ones.) 9.) Neil Gaiman (American Gods, is a must read!!) 10.) Terry Goodkind (Long and Addictive works similar to that of Robert Jordan) 11.) W.B. Yeats (Best poet to ever live!!) Thats all for now... Thanks for your time!!! Signed the one and only Dark Dragon Prince... Oh and PS stories that are only one chapter long are annoying! Especially if you then decide to make two (one chapter) sequels, you could have bloody made it a three chapter story now couldn't you! gah!! | |||||||
