Hiya! My name is Cait. I'm from a small, unimportant town in a slightly larger, still unimportant state. I am the tattooed, pierced, former Division 1 Big Ten athlete, nerd graduate student your grandmother would have warned you about had she known I exsisted. My philosophy: "Everything good in life is either illegal, immoral, or fattening". I attended the University of Iowa as an undergrad and was on the Rowing Team. Now I am attending graduate school, working on my PhD in Early American History. I have two tumblr blogs, one is my personal ramblings and rebloggings - it's at trivialqueen(.)tumblr(.)com, the other is for the occasional snip of a story or pictures of the fanfiction kind, it's at parrottgal(.)tumblr(.)com. I am more than excited to talk to people about just about anything, but especially fandom stuff. Never hesitate to drop me a line. A note about my stories: Many of my stories are actually collections of one shots based around characters, pairings, and a short prompt (typically one or two words). If you have a suggestion for any of these pieces - be it a pairing, character, prompt, or all of the above, please feel free to PM me. I really like talking to people. Some of my favorite Shows are: The Daily Show, Stranger Things, Golden Girls, Masterpiece Mystery - Hercule Poirot, Sherlock, Granchester, etc.; A&E's Nero Wolfe, Scrubs, House, CSI: NY, The Tudors, Star Trek: The Original Series, Mystery Science Theatre 3000, Downton Abbey, The Newsroom, and The Hour. Some of my favorite Movies are: Jaws, Any film by Alfred Hitchcock, Any Mel Brooks movie, Monty Python's Quest for the Holy Grail, When Harry Met Sally, Jurassic Park, Ghostbusters, The Mummy. Some of my favorite Books/Plays are: Murder Mysteries! (Hercule Poirot, Nero Wolfe, Sherlock Holmes Mysteries,The Sophie Katz series, From Hell) Pride and Prejudice,Persuasian, The Godfather, To Kill a Mockingbird, Jane Eyre, Good Omens. Some of my other favorite things are: Politics, satire, lipstick, sky high heels, trivia, coffee, rainy days and murder mysteries, conspiracy theories, super cheesey, smutty romance novels (ironically I hate Twilight and 50 Shades of Grey with a burning passion), and quotes. Some of my favorite quotes are: "People who see life as anything more than pure entertainment are missing the point." George Carlin "Humor is just another defense against the universe." Mel Brooks "I'd like to offer my moral support, but I have questionable morals." Tee Shirt "It's not the size of the dog in the fight that counts, it's the size of the fight in the dog." Mark Twain "The show you are about to watch is a news parody. Its stories are not fact checked. Its reporters are not journalists. And its opinions are not fully thought through." Daily Show Disclaimer "Feminism encourages women to leave their husbands, kill their children, practice witchcraft, destroy capitalism, and become lesbians."
