![]() Author has written 9 stories for Warriors, Final Fantasy VIII, Fire Emblem, Kingdom Hearts, Castlevania, and Princess Mononoke. Why hello, there. This is Daydreaming Heart (also known as DaydreamDragon371 on DA and AsterOrca on YouTube), and welcome to my Fanfic.Net account.~ This account is primarily for me practicing with my writing skills so that, when the time comes for me to really get to writing my stories (such as Thunder Lake, Lionslayer, Blackthorn, Vidstefalks, etc.), I'll at least have some good experience so I don't screw anything up. XP Despite that, most of the stuff I'll be writing here will most likely be silly friendly parodies and things like that, nothing too serious. However, whenever the stuff I write here does get serious, it gets seriously serious. I will also try my best to stick as close to canon as possible and keep everyone in character. Also, my content will be pretty much clean. No cussing, no dirty stuff, and, while some of my serious stories will contain violence and blood, no gore. :D As for me, I'm just a quirky little artist (even drew my new icon! My old one was drawn by ShadeOfShinon on DA, who is an incredible artist, but my fursona's design has been updated since she drew that picture, so...yeah) who wants to try her hand at literature. I'm also a pretty avid Christian, a hardcore gamer, an aspiring voice actor/violinist/graphic novelist/comedian, and someone with a passion for sea life (except for cephalopods and goblin sharks. I may be that one person who thinks that green moray eels are adorable, but octopi, squid, and goblin sharks are just full of "NOPE" in my eyes). Things I like: Drawing, praying to the Lord, listening to music (my favorite band at the moment being Of Monsters and Men), reading good books, watching good movies, learning about history, putting on funny voices, playing with my pets, making people smile and laugh, being around people in general, coming up with new original stories, and doing what I can to help make the world a better place~ Things I am a fan of: Warriors, Pokemon, Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy VIII, Avatar: The Last Airbender (not Korra), movies made by Hayao Miyazaki (particularly Nausicaa, which is my favorite movie ever~), Foxes of Firstdark, Tales of the Abyss, and a lot of other things~ Current/Planned Serial Stories: Water and Fire (current)- a Warriors fanfiction about my OC Riverfur, a RiverClan warrior who lived far before Bluestar walked the forest. Rivefur, despite being a bit overprotective of her family, a little too strict, and being dutiful to a fault, is a compassionate and brave cat who only wishes for the safety of her clanmates...then her little sister starts falling for a jerkface from another clan and things get a little bit chaotic. The rest, however, is spoilers. Chanson de Représailles (current, on hiatus)- A retelling of the story of Final Fantasy VIII set in Revolution-era France (and I guess England, too, but it mostly takes place in France). It's a fic I tend to do a TON of research on regarding the time period, something I hope can be a little educational, and something that'll hopefully give an unbiased view on one of the most debatable times in history. Of course, there will be quite a bit of creative license taken on occasion, but it'll hopefully stick pretty truthful to both the historic event and the story of the game. Seeing as I'm a huge fan of the game and I actually have a bit of a penchant for history, I think this is going to be a fun one to write. Through the Cracks of Time (discontinued)- A former Fire Emblem 7 fanfiction that centered around the motley crew's tactician: the droll and clever, though rather hotheaded and a bit cowardly, Joni Tabitha Zeekens. Sixteen-year-old Joni, who lived in the year 1977, used to live a fairly normal life with her hyper little brother and the family's assertive caretaker...used to. Through a peculiar sequence of events, she found herself falling into the distant past...literally. As she began her quest to, by some means, find a way back home, she began to meet and befriend more and more people and suddenly becomes involved in their respective stories and relationships, and also gets caught up in a fateful matter that could be way in over her head...and perhaps, somewhere along the way, she might learn how to change from a reckless rabbit-heart to an adept lion-heart...Will contain multiple pairings (none of them crack or OCXCanon, so no worries (though there is a huge OCXOC pairing in Joni's relationship with Ben, her boyfriend from her original time period)), however, the romances were merely a subplot since the fic itself mostly revolved around the friendships that Joni and the rest of the crew form with each other while they embarked on their mission to thwart Nergal. Now, this is being made it's own story and no longer a fanfic. I'll at least give the basic plot of the new story. Joni had a really bad dad, a massive cheater who was never there and drove her mother to attempt suicide (which was unsuccessful), not to mention sometimes abusive. When Joni goes back in time, she meets a motley crew of characters in the medieval time period, the first and most prominent being a scruffy fugitive in his late twenties (in the fanfic, this was supposed to be Legault), and though they have their misgivings at first, they eventually become close friends and develop a sort of father-daughter relationship as they meet more and more characters (at least ones that draw parallels to Lyn, Rath, Matthew, Eliwood, Ninian, and Florina, if only somewhat) and start a band of mercenaries. This is all fairly recent at the time of updating this, so I'm currently lacking a few details. Why this sudden change of plans for Miss Zekens' story? Well, I have another idea for an FE7 novelization fic called "The Boy and His Cat", one that sort of acts as the written version of my fanmade graphic novel that I'm working on (I'll give the details in a bit). But yeah, congrats, Joni! You made it past the Fan Character zone! :D The Villagers (on hiatus)- A series of Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia drabbles centered on, you probably guessed it, Shanoa's relationship with each of the residents of Wygol Village! The moods of the drabbles vary quite a bit, sometimes planned to cause smiles, other times planned to cause feels, but for the most part, it's just a lighthearted little series about a group of good friends being a ray of sunshine in an otherwise heavily overcast lifestyle of slaying beasts and phantoms and having no emotions or memories and stuff, and Shanoa slowly but steadily have her personality develop slightly. On hiatus because I really don't care for the series at all (way too dark for my liking). However, I do have some prompts still, even if I'm going to post them out of order. Soft Breeze (planned)- Formerly known as "Before the Wind Died". Basically a slice of life story about Lyn/Rath/Sue's life from the end of FE7 up until Zephiel's attack on the rest of Elibe and Sue ends up in Thria/gets captured by Wagner/is rescued by Roy and tags along with his army. Mostly supposed to be family fluff, but also deals with some more serious subject matters, and of course is supposed to get very depressing at the end. Still a work in progress (not sure if I want to write it in first person and have the POV shift between characters or just have it in third person). I wanna work really hard on this one and have it be my magnum opus in terms of fics. The Boy and His Cat (planned)- Remember that new actual FE7 novelization fic I was going to do in place of Joni's since she's getting her own story, now? Well, this is it. Not much changes, except for the character of Mark. The twist, here, is that he's...be surprised...only ten years old in this fanfic...and he has a super loyal pet cat who stays with him through the whole story. Mark is a child genius who comes from a wealthy family, and when they move to the mostly quiet and peaceful country of Ilia so Mark can focus more on his studies...well, without spoiling too much, really bad stuff happens and he's now on the run with his feline friend for more reasons than him dreading going to an orphanage. Eventually, he makes it all the way to Sacae, and then the events of the game begin. Everything else is currently in the works, but I will say that, because Mark is only 10 in this fic, there are no pairings involving him (maybe a one-sided crush on a girl closer to his age, but no actual Mark-based ships). Also, he and the main noble trio have a more familial relationship with him, them seeing him as a little brother or sometimes a son. And also, because Mark is a shy, small child with a cat for a best friend, you can expect him to be a super precious cinnamon roll when he's not being super smart. X3Well, I suppose that's enough about me, I'm just hoping you guys like what I write and, if you checked the link to my DeviantArt account (if it works, and if not, I'm sorryyy DX), you also like what I draw. But before my closing line and before you browse my stories and favorites and what-not, here's one of my favorite monologues of all time, where in this day and age, people constantly fight over whether it's right to either take up arms without question or try to talk it out and not resist any acts of violence from the enemy, and there is no middle ground between the debaters...in 1998/1999, one teenage soldier made of pixels says this to a strictly anti-war mayor of a strictly anti-war town... "It's hard for me to explain... I wish...everything could be settled without resorting to violence...and there would be no need for battles. Like you've been preaching, it would be wonderful if things could be settled by discussion. The only problem with that is that it takes too much time. Especially if the others are not willing to listen. So I believe that fighting is inevitable at times. It's really sad. That's all I have to say. I hope you understand someday...I think the world needs both people like you and people like us. Remember, always be kind, even to those who attempt to hurt you, but keep in mind that, at times, especially when the well-being of others are involved, a struggle is unavoidable, so whether you wish and/or have to to speak or retaliate, be strong. I'm not fond of war myself, but without the brave men and women who have fought throughout the course of time, a lot of evildoers of days past would've gotten their way, and the world would've ended up a horrible place. For that, I do not totally support war itself, especially not the side effects of it that cause the civilians to suffer, but I most definitely support the troops who fight in them to help their country as well as the world escape a bad fate, as well as the everyday soldier fighting a war against unhappiness by selflessly helping his or her fellow man and bringing peace to those feeling stress and/or depression. May you have a wonderful day/night/what-have-you and may God bless you~ :D | |||||||
