Rey is Snoke's adopted daughter, a powerful agent of the Dark Side, and working with the First Order on a path to victory. But a vision about a certain Dark Knight could destroy her. This picks up after Pacification, where Hux and Poe sparked an unlikely relationship, earned one another's trust, and became engaged. In this, they get to know one another better as Hux continues to soften and learn how to be more of a human being. This is not a stand-alone and I would suggest reading Grey and Complicated, Orderly Lives, and Pacification first.

Part Two of The Unspoken Betrayal: After the attack on Dantooine, turning herself off to the Force, and breaking the bond between herself and Kylo Ren, Rey and Rose race out into the galaxy. They fight for their survival and that of their children, but the Force brings a reckoning upon Rey that delivers her back into the clutches of Kylo Ren and her unspoken betrayal is revealed.

After Crait, the Resistance is in tatters. It will take time before they regain the strength to be anything more than an annoyance to the First Order. Sometime after TLJ, the leadership of the First Order and Resistance meet on a deserted planet to discuss peace. Hux wanders outside after dinner to get some air and worry about his future. He enjoys the distraction of the woods even after running into Poe, who hikes along with him. Each thinks the other is up to something nefarious until the sun sets and a storm blows in.

General Hux's tortured body is delivered to the Resistance by a small, surrendering force of the First Order who were fortifying a mine on a distant planet. Hux remains defiant even as Poe tries to help him, refusing to accept aid and comfort from the enemy. But even the most stubborn heart can be won over.

Part two in the series with Grey and Complicated. Rey accompanies Kylo Ren to the First Order, coming to understand who they are as a people before the High Command changes the game by challenging the legitimacy of Kylo Ren's title as supreme leader.

Following the Battle of Crait, Ben and Rey try to repair their love life and the political structure of the galaxy. Hux and Poe help out. Short appearances by many other characters. Things are not neatly black and white.

An undercover mission sends General Hux into the heart of the Resistance to gather information regarding the rumors of a certain map, leaving him to stand toe-to-toe with Commander Poe Dameron. As they clash and fight, tooth and nail, past traumas reveal themselves to prove that, perhaps, the light and dark sides are not so different, after all.
