![]() Author has written 3 stories for Inuyasha. Basics: To most people, my name is Sara, or Cupcake Girl...you can call me "Shades", that's fine too. Or, feel free to create a nickname; at least I know you're thinking of me.. I am a Virgo to the fullest; I have met all the requirements to being one. I am a writer, the tips of my fingers a conduit to allow my soul's thoughts to be applied to the conscious for the world to gaze upon. I have come to the realization that a human's lifespan is immensely too short and I will not spend my borrowed time worrying over trivial matters, although my ability to find even the smallest misspelled/misused word seems to stick out like a sore thumb. Discovery Ascension: There are some that state that my writings and myself do not coincide with one another, though those statements are from those that do not know me best. My writing does not hide who I am; it bares my soul in it's purest form. Since I can remember, I have always enjoyed reading, as any typical child, having a want to understand and interpret the world around me. Throughout the years, my shelves, dressers, and floor have all become keepers of pages upon pages of scrawled out thoughts, some no longer than a sentence, others much more lengthy. Many nights I have awakened, an idea burning at my fingertips to be put down on something stable and permanent, to be saved and not forgotten to slip away back into the recesses of my mind. My imagination has helped to create many poems, stories, very colorful and descriptive essays, an everything in between, yet it is still not enough. One is never "done" writing; it is an ongoing voyage that truly never ends, echoing into eternity. When I am writing, I feel as though I detach myself from reality, falling into a reality all my own, where I am master and each of my ideas spring to life. A coolness that only I can know settles over me and I return a renewed being, completion one step closer. Fanfiction Revelation: I discovered the art of fanfictions several years ago and, capturing my interest, it hasn't let up yet. No, I have not visited all of the fanfiction websites in the entirety of the internet, but so far, I have found fanfiction.net to be my most favorite. Out of the ones I have been to, it seems to have attracted some of the most talented writers, or so I think. While it is true that Inuyasha is my most favorite choice for anime fanfiction at this time, I enjoy the simplicity of fanfiction.net because it is not entirely devoted to this one anime nor is it overcrowded with "OMG I LOVE YOU"'s or other childish behavoirisms (in my opinion at least). I have found, and maybe this is just me, that when a site is strictly dedicated to a particular anime, you tend to not attract the most brilliant of writers. Maybe it's because the talented aren't interested in that anime, or maybe it's because that that one anime isn't the only one these select writers enjoy, so they prefer a variety over selected. With that in mind, I had started writing fanfictions after reading so many and had posted one on another site, but when I took it down to work on it (being a novice, I found plenty of errors in my work), my computer seemed to not like the idea. Poof! Off my work went and I haven't been able to track it down yet! So!...I went into an enormous case of writer's block and dare I say slight depression? It was my own fault being that the flash drive I used to save my work was chewed to bits by my roommate's dog. Hindsight is 20/20 though and now I am currently working on new ideas and new stories so hopefully, I can start producing once more. Favorite Animes: Inuyasha Death Note Demon King Daimao High School of the Dead Elfin Lied Shuffle Wolf's Rain Blood .hack//Sign Cowboy Bebop Gundam Wing Dragon Ball Z Fullmetal Alchemist Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex Sailor Moon Samurai Champloo Rurouni Kenshin Naruto Big O Spirited Away Howl's Moving Castle Princess Mononoke Insight of the Insightful: "Astra inclinant, non necessitant" "The stars incline, they do not determine." "Sapere aude." "Dare to know." "In order for life to have appeared spontaneously on Earth, there first had to be hundreds of millions of protein molecules of the Ninth Configuration. But, given the size of the planet Earth, do you know how long it would take for just one of these protein molecules to appear by chance? Roughly 10 to the 243rd power, billions of years; and I find that far, far more fantastic than simply believing in a god." -William Peter Blatty, The Ninth Configuration "The difference between the right word and the almost right word is the difference between lightning and a lightning bug." -Mark Twain "The act of putting pen to paper encourages pause for thought, this in turn makes us think more deeply about life, which helps us regain our equilibrium." -Norbet Platt "We must question the story logic of having an all-knowing all-powerful God, who creates faulty Humans, and then blames them for his own mistakes." -Gene Roddenberry "Don't tell me the moon is shining; show me the glint of light on broken glass." -Anton Chekhov "A perfectly healthy sentence, it is true, is extremely rare. For the most part we miss the hue and fragrance of the thought; as if we could be satisfied with the dews of the morning or evening without their colors, or the heavens without the azure." -Henry David Thoreau |
