Life is short.

Break the rules

forgive quickly

kiss slowly

Love truly

Laught uncontrollably

and never regret

anything that made you smile

Hello! First of all, I really want to thank you for taking time for checking my profile. That means a lot to me ;)

My name: Alice

Age: 19

Location: Central America

Religion: Christian

Birthday: June 6th

Career: International Relations & Politics

Hobbies: read and write (obviously), playing cards, basketball, searching witty quotes, etc.

Year in Fanfiction: fourth (as of 2018).

Fandoms: Chronicles of Narnia, Percy Jackson series, Heroes of Olympus Series, Kane Chronicles, Harry Potter, Game of thrones, A Court of Thornes and Roses, The Name of the Wind, Ascendance trilogy, etc. (But I would read almost anything, any way!)

Music: Adele, Coldplay, Imagine Dragons, Ricardo Arjona, Gloria Trevi, Jason Mraz, Ed Sheeran, etc., etc.

Language: I am a native speaker of Spanish, however, I write in English because of two reasons: 1) Ill have more readers and 2) it's a great way to practice my writing skills. Feel free to point out any spelling/grammar mistakes, it would help me a lot. I'm also learning German, but I am anly starting.

What I really can't stand: flaming, slash, incest, unintentional mary sues/gary stues, rude/racist people, chayote fruit... politicians...

Disclaimer:

You already know I own nothing you recognize of whatever I publish, but I don't own what you don't recognize either. My work is a reflex of everything I read in books or in Fanfiction, so if I ever steal borrow one of your ideas, please forgive me: I am not sure which ideas are my own anymore. You can use any of my characters if you like, as long as you keep them alive and in character. Thanks to all those Fanfiction authors and their fantastic ideas!

How to Tell if You're a Writer

-If you talk to yourself.
-If you talk to yourself about talking to yourself (i.e. 'I wonder why I talk to myself?')
-If, when you talk to yourself, you sometimes speak as if talking to another person (i.e. 'Okay, so have you ever noticed that the word 'deliver' could mean someone's liver?')
-If, after uttering a profound piece of wisdom like that above, you stare at the cookie in your hand in awe and say, 'Wow, this is good stuff for sugar highs!'
-If you live off of sugar and caffeine.
-If people start to notice that you tend to check your e-mail every day for a week, then suddenly disappear off the face of the planet.
-If your SMS tend to be pages long and incredibly random.
-If, when replying to someone else's SMS, you are sometimes so random that you fail to address the original message altogether.
-If you tend to collect the Bic Stics people leave lying around, kind of like picking pennies off the ground.
-If, no matter where you are in your room, you never have to so much as get up to reach a pen/pencil and paper. ... or use your phone to make notes.
-If the letters are starting to wear off on the keys of your keyboard.
-If people think you might have A.D.D.
-If you think it'd be cool to have A.D.D.
-If you start constantly talking in third person, past tense.
-If you think about making lists like this, and start giggling for no 'apparent' reason.
-If your friends don't even bother to look funny at you anymore when you start giggling for no apparent reason.
-And finally, the number one way to tell if you're a good writer: You failed English 101.

Psalm 23 is my favorite psalm. I learnt it very young, and I said it when I crossed that long and dark room at home; it has always brought reassurance to my soul and a smile to my lips.

The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
he refreshes my soul.
He guides me along the right paths
for his name’s sake.
Even though I walk
through the darkest valley,
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.

You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
Surely your goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord
forever.

Well... once upon a time, I was frustrated because I think myself a writer but learned that I'm rubbish at writing. I have little problem with one-shots, but I failed at anything with a more complicated plot. That was until I learned that I was a writer, albeit not a literature-writer writer, if you get me. I currently write opinion columns on a digital magazine, and perhaps I'll someday write for other magazines and newspapers. The lesson is: find which kind of writing you like to write and love it ;)
