![]() Author has written 6 stories for Harry Potter, Nightmare Before Christmas, Legend of Zelda, Phantom of the Opera, Labyrinth, and Stardust. Introduce myself? Oh dear... Call me Raven. I'm an aspiring writer, like the rest of you, who decided to cast her die into Fanfiction before doing anything original (I'll conquer the world another day). I'm not exactly perfect, and any chapter I give you went through either a Beta-reader (multiple if I can help it) or I read it a few times. Sometimes, when I self-edit, the piece isn't exactly what it could be, but that's more for my practice. I am here to improve, just like everyone else, so feel free to point out where I made a boo-boo. I'm a college student at a community college, majoring in Communications, but I plan to transfer to a big university and go in for Broadcast Journalism. I love to read, to write, to join Role Pays, and have a video game addiction that will distract me on occasion. Things that keep my life interesting are books, music, and the internet (it's an abusive relationship, but hey). As for my Fandoms, I am a huge Anime Nerd. My favorites are Sailor Moon, Trigun, and Cowboy Bebop, but I'm familiar with a good deal more. I read Manga a lot as well, and really favor Fullmetal Alchemist and Hellsing. I absolutely adore reading, so I like a lot of different books. Mainly I like the classics, my favorite book being Alice's Adventures In Wonderland and Pride and Prejudice. I also really love Fantasy Novels, but I love Horror Novels, especially Vampire related (but I'm not a big fan of Twilight at all, so don't bother). I'm actually a bit of a braniac on Vampires, as I've read both The Vampire Chronicles, Dracula, and even a few books from The Vampire Hunter D series. As for Cartoons, I can go real old school on you (Though most of my childhood is now old school, which makes me feel old). I'm more prone to hang around YouTube than the TV set, but I do love The Big Bang Theory, Sherlock, a little Doctor Who, and I adore Mike & Molly. Though I am a film nut, and like too many films to really list out, but my absolute favorite is Edward Scissorhands...or maybe The Crow, depends on my mood. Because I'm a college student, I write when I have the time, which isn't a lot. I got a head start on my first story because I posted on break. I try to write big plot related stories, but almost all of them will involve romance pairings, I'm just a too much of a romantic not to. They won't get too intrusive, and I promise a story that was researched, thought through, planned out and executed. Finally, I'm pretty lax on pairing. Not against Yaoi or Yuri, but I don't care to read it or really try my hand at it. There are some that I defend with blazing sword, Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Mask being one of them, but otherwise I'm willing to entertain a pairing if it's well written. I tend to give OC's a chance, since I intend to use a few of my own, but I treat them with a very scrutinizing eye. You've been warned. And yes, future stories of mine will have Romantic OC's. But I always give them a point to the story, and not "pairing fodder". All I ask, is one shot for each person who reads my stories. Give me one chance to prove to you that I can properly use the OC, and than decide for yourself if they're useless. That's about it. I like reviews, reviews are like candy, chocolate candy if their constructive criticism. Send your thoughts, and I hope you enjoy my stuff . Current Story(s): Those Who don't Learn from their HistoryIMPORTANT: My editor is returning to class, and I refuse to post anything that hasn't been reviewed. So, until she has the time again, Those Who Don't Learn From Their History is put on hold. I will return to it on further notice. To Move a StarSummary kept under wraps Until first chapter. Next Oneshot: A Halloween themed-Nightmare Before Christmas (Because I loooove milking this one.) Pairings I will support:
Notes: I'm looking for a beta-reader. Not that they need to know any of the fandoms I work for, only that they need to have great grammar skills. I can have issues with typos, comma-usage and writing in passive voice, so I appreciate anyone willing to lend me their skills. |
