Gaby's Weird-o Tribute to High School Musical:

high school musical - best. disney movie. ever. because let's face it; disney channel movies sucked before high school musical came along. who knew that two high school kids wanting to audition for their school musical would interest so many people? i sure as hell didn't. i saw the commercials for this and i was pretty sure i was gonna hate it. but i saw that "maddie from the suite life" and "that cute guy from summerland" were going to be in it, so i decided to watch it anyway. i didn't regret it.

high school musical 2 - for a sequel, it was very good. i don't always like sequels. the first movie is and will always be the best, but this movie was a perfect sequel. i loved it. so what if zac and ashley looked orange? they sang great! and that's what matters in a musical.

high school musical 3: senior year - this movie made me very nostalgic. i loved it, though. i cried at the end during the curtain call. perfect way to end it all.

it's really over. nothing (in this lifetime) will ever top high school musical. this corny masterpiece will be forever remembered by all. even those who don't like hsm will never be able to deny having an hsm song stuck in their head. parents will remember the hsm years as the years when they spent the most money on their kids, what with all the books, dvd's, soundtracks, pillow cases, socks, headbands, creepy dolls that sing, halloween costumes, ect. us fans will make sure to sit our reluctant grandkids down and tell them all about "starting something new," "breaking free," and how "we're all in this together." and when they shoot us looks that scream "crazy old people," we will simply shake our heads grumble about how kids these days know nothing about good entertainment.

yes it's over. we all saw this coming. we knew it wouldn't last forever. but us fans can assure you, HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL WILL FOREVER BE IN OUR HEARTS. we will never forget that fatefull january 20th when our lives changed forever. "long live high school musical!" (:

Gaby's Other Weird-o Tribute to Twilight (WARNING: BREAKING DAWN/TWILIGHT MOVIE SPOILERS!)

twilight - a vampire book for non-vampire lovers. this book changed how we all see these bloodthirsty creatures. now when we think vampires we think sexy, glitter-in-the-sun, golden-eyed (or red-eyed) gods. there are no words to explain why this book is so amazing. so i'll just give up looking.

new moon - this book is the saddest. our beloved edward leaves. and the irritating love triangle that drives a wedge between twlighters (team edward/team jacob/team switzerland) forms as jacob's character gets more involved. some people (team jacob) see this book as the best out of the four. others see it as the saddest (team edward). but i think that no matter what side you're on, this book is still enjoyable.

eclipse - the funniest book. edward's pressuring dear bella with marriage, bella's sexually frustrated, jacob's determined make bella his, bella's punching werewolves, and she's still tripping and stumbling like nobody's business. aside from the whole bella-choosing-between-edward-and-jacob deal, which once again drives that wedge between twilight fans, this book was very good.

breaking dawn - people had mixed feelings over this book. some hated it, some didn't. i personally liked it very much. bella marries edward. her sexual desires are fulfilled - with a price. at first i - like many others - felt like ms. meyer cheated when - after making it very obvious that vampires and have children - making a loophole in which, since bella's still human, she could have edward's child. but i got over it. renesmee is a lovable character, i think. though i'm not a fan of the jacob/renesmee pairing. and the ending with edward reading bella's mind was very cute. overall, it was a good last installment for the saga - at least in my opinion. it left me satisfied.

twilight: the movie - freaking awesome. robbert pattinson is L O V E. so is taylor lautner. quite a few scenes were changed (e.g. meadow scene, restaurant scene, kiss scene) and some things were just not in the movie (e.g. blood typing scene), but it was still very good. we can only hope the next movies are as good as this. and hopefully ms. meyer will have cameos in them (because i'm sure we all had fun looking for her during this movie).

twilight is over. after that illegal downloading incident with midnight sun (see ms. meyer's website under midnight sun), it seems a little unlikely at this point that ms. meyer will continue. this saga will be very hard to top, i think. phenomenoms like this are rare, and we were very lucky to have experienced it. thank you, ms. meyer for sharing this dream you had with all the world. you have a brilliant mind. we can't wait to see what else you come up with.
