Hi everyone! I am just your average insomniac whose almost entire day is devoted to reading fanfiction. I know, I have no life. (actually, this is no longer true. I now have a job I have to travel for an hour and a half to get to, spend 8 and a half hours at, then travel for another hour and a half to get back home. I miss my fanfiction! *sobs*. Stupid middle of nowhere black hole I live in.)

I pretty much like any pairing. I do tend to focus on one character in whatever fandoms I read and only read stories where that character is displayed in a positive light. I tend towards slash, but I will read het if the story catches my interest.

For Harry Potter, that character is Harry Potter. Harry with almost anyone, Severus, Draco, Hermione, Charlie Weasley, Bill Weasley, Daphne Greengrass, the Twins, I've even read one with Percy that was cute. Harry/any character except Ron (too much of either a brother figure or too annoying), Ginny (Ginny irritates me for some reason) or Albus Dumbledore (wrinkled. ew. nuf said). And Bellatrix Lestrange (I really don't even get this one myself, but there you go). But other than them, anything goes. (literally. I've read one with a threesome with the Lestrange brothers, and another with Barty Crouch Jr., and another with a random Dementor (male and female!)I find the strangest fics, lol)

For Naruto, I prefer reading stories with Naruto in the pairing. I generally prefer my long stories to not have pairings though, so that I can see what writers do with Naruto and his abilities and the world around him. I like reading oneshots with slash, but I can't find any long Naruto stories with slash that I like to read, I dunno why. And the harem fic virus annoys me. I can understand threesomes, or foursomes, but whenever Naruto is developed to be stronger, or have an unusual ability, up come the harems with every f*ing ninja girl in the series. And he loves each of them equally! Arg, it annoys me. What would be so bad about having an awesome Naruto without a significant other?

There are many (many, many) other fandoms I dabble in, but I can't be bothered to list them and so don't wish to bore you.

One more thing that annoys me. Okay, I like slash. I think it is one of the awesomest things to read about when the character I like is a guy, because as a (mostly) straight girl I prefer reading about hot guys. But, when every. single. male is gay in a series, it makes it unrealistic. Okay, I get Seamus and Dean (harry potter). I get Remus and Sirius (also hp). And of course I like Harry to be bent (hello? Barely any interest in girls, described his first kiss as 'wet'?)But when those, plus Draco, Lucius, Severus, Neville, Blaise, Terry Boot, Anthony Goldstein, Ron (wtf? Straightest guy in the series) and basically every other male even mentioned in any of the seven books is gay, it isn't realistic. Same with Naruto. I get Kakashi (he seems the type to not care what sex his partner is) and Iruka, but Naruto, Shino, Kiba, Shikamaru, Choji, Neji, Lee, etc are all gay, I wanna know what's gonna happen to their clans?! It just is too much of a good thing.

OBITUARY FOR THE LATE MR. COMMON SENSE

Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense,who has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was, since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape.

He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as: Knowing when to come in out of the rain; why the early bird gets the worm; Life isn't always fair; and Maybe it was my fault.

Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don't spend more than you can earn) and reliable strategies (adults, not children, are in charge). His health began to deteriorate rapidly when well-intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place. Reports of a 6 year-old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate; teens suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition.

Common Sense lost ground when parents attacked teachers for doing the job that they themselves had failed to do in disciplining their unruly children. It declined even further when schools were required to get Parental consent to administer Calpol, sun lotion, or a band-aid to a student; but could not inform parents when a student became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion.

Common Sense lost the will to live as the Ten Commandments became contraband; churches became businesses; and criminals received better treatment than their victims.

Common Sense took a beating when you couldn't defend yourself from a burglar in your own home and the burglar could sue you for assault.

Common Sense finally gave up the will to live, after a woman failed to realize that a steaming cup of coffee was hot. She spilled a little in her lap, and was promptly awarded a huge settlement.

Common Sense was preceded in death by his parents, Truth and Trust; his wife, Discretion; his daughter, Responsibility; and his son, Reason.

He is survived by his 3 stepbrothers; I Know My Rights, Someone Else Is To Blame, and I'm A Victim. Not many attended his funeral because so few realized he was gone. If you still remember him, pass this on. If not, join the majority and do nothing.
