2,600 miles. 387 days... A story of living life and falling in love across the wire. Because for Holly Stewart, there is only Gail Peck; she just needs to accept that.

Based after the events of 4x13 Gail attempts to come to grips with her feelings and eventually confronts Holly with what's on her mind, in her own specific Gail way. My first Rookie Blue fic after a while away from writing. Please let me know what you think. Now a multi-chapter piece.

Post 5x10 "Maybe, in the wake of a year that gave her head and her heart whiplash, she could still soar. Sure, she was but a passenger right now, but she was still flying, wasn't she? Maybe this was all just the gust of wind she needed, maybe Holly Stewart could fly on her own once again."

Based after 5x07. Ratings may also progress to more mature as the story line continues. Gail stood up and threw down her last half empty bottle of alcohol and knew she had to talk to Holly. She just had to apologize again. Maybe she'd listen this time if she just showed up and poured her heart out. Sure, it would be a little slurred but what could go wrong, right?

Based on the events after 5X3... Gail struggles to find her way back to Holly before it is too late, or has she missed her chance? Angst, longing and an undercover mission will make the reunion harder than expected for our favorite female couple on Rookie Blue. Please let me know your thoughts, feedback very much appreciated! The events of this story occur after the finale and will continue. A major part draws from the fact that Gail quite clearly refuted the expression "bone each other" as inaccurate where her relationship with holly was concerned. For me it sounded something like "not yet slept together". The lighthearted angsty anatomy of their romance. Rating will definitely go up in future. Enjoy!
