Poll: What Elements Do You Enjoy Most in a Story? Vote Now! |
![]() Author has written 7 stories for Pokémon, Warriors, and Wings of Fire, Tui T. Sutherland. Hello! My name is Blaze. I am an aspiring author with a love for fantasy stories and well-developed characters. I mainly write fanfiction when I am inspired by some untold backstory, undeveloped concept, or unfinished character arc that I stumble upon in the books I read or the games I play. However, I also use the stories I write for this website as a way to improve my skills as a writer. All feedback is welcome and very much appreciated. :) Overall, my style is extremely character-focused, which means that sometimes plot takes the back-burner while I develop the characters’ personalities, relationships, and themes. Hopefully you enjoy character-driven stories as much as I do and this is a good thing for you. If not, I apologize for the slow pace of my fanfictions and hope you find them enjoyable anyway. If you have any suggestions about how to better balance plot and character-development, I would love to hear them, as this is something I personally struggle with as a writer. UPDATE: I have found myself extremely busy these last few weeks and have not been able to write and upload my stories as frequently as I would like to. Some haven't been updated in months. However, I am still working on Wings of Spirit and The Heart Brings You Hope. Please don't think I've given up on them. Unfortunately, I do not have them on the laptop I am using right now, so I haven't been able to write them even when I do have free time, but I'm hoping to be able to get ahold of my flash drive and copy them over here sometime soon. Thank you all for reading my work. Here’s a little guide to the things I’ve written: Snowlight is my only completed fanfiction. It’s essentially the tale of Snow White told in the world of Warriors, with a few twists and turns along the way. Someday I would like to write another fairy-tale inspired fic, but as of now, I have no definite plans for one. Remember the Stars is another Warriors fanfiction, set in an alternate timeline from the canon series. It follows an apprentice named Branchpaw and his two siblings, Vixenpaw and Flamepaw, as each attempts to become a warrior and grows physically, mentally, and spiritually in the process. The Clans have lost faith in StarClan, which is now widely viewed as a tale for kits, but some cats can’t help but wonder whether there is some truth to the stories after all. I’ve mostly lost inspiration for Remember the Stars, but if my motivation comes back, I’d like to finish it eventually. I’ve taken down the allegiences because they were taking up a lot of space, but if anyone wants me to put them back up, just let me know and I will. Volcarona’s Light was my first fanfiction, based on the legends alluded to in Volcarona’s various Pokédex entries in the Pokémon games. It was supposed to be some complex and interesting story, but I honestly cannot remember most of what I had planned for it. XD It’ll be staying up for old times’ sake, but unless some unexpected surge of inspiration comes, I will probably not be continuing it. Wings of Spirit is one of my more recent fanfictions. It follows Carnelian the SkyWing after her death and is set in an afterworld that is largely a mystery to the main characters. The more Carnelian’s group expands, the more her mind does as well, and she learns a lot about herself and others along the way. I’ve tried my best to stay true to my interpretations of the characters (which I believe I’ve mostly been successful at), but as this is my first fanfiction about canon characters, they may not be perfectly accurate to how they are in the books. There are also a few characters who are mentioned in the series, but did not actually appear (or did for only a scene or two), so their personalities are largely my interpretations or my inventions. I try to update at least once a month, but due to my busy schedule, that doesn’t always work out. I have a vague outline worked out for where the plot of Wings of Spirit is going, but many of the events and almost all of the dialogue I make up as I go. That means that sometimes I get a little stuck and a chapter takes longer than I expected it to, or the story takes a weird turn as I attempt to come up with something new. It isn’t your typical Wings of Fire story by any means, but hopefully that makes it unique. I’m proud of how it’s coming out, even though it’s much different than how I originally imagined it. I’ve just started another Wings of Fire fanfiction titled The Heart Brings You Hope, which follows the adventures of Lynx, Snowfall, and Hailstorm after the IceWing plague from the epilogue of Talons of Power forces them to leave their kingdom. Lynx sets out to look for a cure away from home and persuades/forces the other two to come with her. Although this isn’t exactly what I expect to happen in Darkness of Dragons, I’d be extremely happy if these three characters played important roles in Book 10. Although I’ve labeled this fic with the genres romance/adventure (in that order), it’ll probably be mostly adventure in the beginning and switch to romance later on. I've also begun dabbling in one-shots/single-chapter stories, which have more ruminative pieces than actual stories thus far. I've only published Whiteout's Reverie, which is basically my attempt at viewing the world, especially the relationship between Arctic and his children, through Whiteout's perspective, but there's another piece waiting to be proof-read somewhere on my laptop and I have ideas for at least one more that I may or may not actually write. These will be written and published when I feel particularly inspired to explore a specific idea or character that doesn't fit into my other fanfictions. Regarding ratings (PLEASE READ) Most of my stories are rated T. Although my writing is neither what I consider to be overly violent nor explicit, I do give this rating for a reason. I want to give myself freedom to write whatever fits the story without having to worry about what may or may not be deemed too mature for the K or K plus ratings. In addition, my stories may touch on mature themes such as self-esteem issues, complicated relationships, depression, and morality, as well as controversial subjects like homosexuality or any spiritual/religious views I believe fit with certain characters’ personalities. I personally do not find any of these things offensive, but if they are sensitive topics for you, please be warned. Thanks for stopping by my profile! If you have any questions or comments, feel free to send me a PM. I’m very friendly, I promise. :) It may take me a little while to get back to you, since I’m a terrible procrastinator and almost always have a pile of things to do, but I’ll do my best. I also have a Deviantart account (that I almost never do anything with), if you’d like to check out my art: Blazing-Dragoness. (I tried to include a link, but for some reason it isn't working. Sorry about that.) I may be making a cover for Wings of Spirit, but that depends on how much time I have. Thanks again for stopping by! |
