Hopefully one day. -o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o- Bio: Uh...what to say, what to say. I am in my late twenties, female, and work at a VFX studio in the PNW. I'm just your friendly neighborhood techie by day, writer by night (and lunch hour). Standard disposition is a pretty bubbly, happy-go-lucky soul with bouts of pure fangirling, mixed with periodic turns toward a neurotic, semi-depressed, OCD mess of creative chaos (but very organized). Writer: I love writing, and spend a lot of my free time doing it. It's my happy place, for sure. But even more than writing, I love planning out stories. I love flushing them out, making complex and often cyclical plots. I love analyzing characters and recreating them as accurately as possible in my stories. I spend hours just thinking about them and plots and dialogue. It's a good thing I have a dog, because now I look less crazy just wandering the neighborhood muttering to myself at all hours of the night. Dog: I have a Staffordshire American Terrior/ChowChow mix named Kodak, illustrated beautifully in my profile pic, drawn by a friend of mine :) He is the love of my life and mah big giant baby boy. I'm not exaggerating. Giant. Friggin. Baby. People cross to the other side of the street to avoid my little #pibble, but you will never meet a bigger baby. He wouldn't just not hurt a fly; he's literally scared of them. Like, won't sleep, tail tucked, crying-until-I-let-him-into-bed-and-under-the-covers level petrified. Of flies. -o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o- Current Works (IPs) The Road So Far (This Time Around) - my beast of an undertaking. It's nowhere near done, but I've estimated a rough 500,000 words as we rewrite the first five seasons of the show in an epic timeline AU. With this monster of a story, I'm striving to keep the characters in character despite a never ending slew of timeline changes, misteps, slip-ups, and mistakes. The Apocalypse roars right on ahead as Dean desperately tries everything he can to stop it without altering the timeline to the point of unpredictability. And fails. Mostly he fails. A lot. We get to see old faces, like Bobby, Jo and Ellen, Gabriel, and Adam while throwing in familiar faces who just can't stay out of the Winchester's lives, like Jody, Nickifer, and Charlie. It's a crazy, chaotic, beautiful mess of then and now, with the apocalypse all over again, all the same angst with all new jokes, and Dean swearing like a sailor. It'll probably be the death of me. Slash, T rating. Progress: 1/4 complete. Updates Sundays, every week when possible, every other week on occasion. Completion Timeline: rough guess, 2017-2020. Cohabitation - A little plot-bunny that struck me recently. Of all the time Cas's been dying, sometimes trapped in his vessel, it occured to me no one's ever tried to get him out of that thing. I mean...well, obviously because we'd lose Misha as a cast member, which is so not acceptable. But what would happen if the only choice our boys could make to save their angel, was to say yes to him? Dean makes the sacrificial play, and now the two have to learn to live together, quite literally. No slash. Progress: Temporarily stalled. I'll get it back up as soon as possible. There's only an epilogue left, daaaaamnit. Completion Timeline: Likely will never fully be complete. After about five chapters of solid plot, it will turn into a collection of oneshots of life in that world. Cadence - Another dastardly blot bunny where my Muse decided to pose the question of: What would the world be like if Cas had died trying to rescue Dean from Hell, but managed to hand his soul off to Balthazar, of all angels? The answer? A lot of bickering. So, so, so very much bickering (that's not a completely sentence...) Progress: Temporarily stalled because I am unable to write two stories at once... Completion Timeline: Theoretically there's only one chapter left...except for the fact that the Muse keeps going, "Yeah, but what if..." which means it could be five more chapters -_- We'll see, next time I get around to writing it. -o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o- Questions? Curiosities? I love questions. I love chatter. Send both my way! Wanna talk stories? Oh, be still my beating heart, please do. -o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o- Story Consultation Services Into: It occurred to me the other day that I have been nostalgic for my college days, missing all the opportunities I had to collaborate on stories with others. To flesh out ideas, talk characters, and bounce everything from plots to dialogue to just cool shit back and forth with another human being. Which was when I realized that I could very well have that here and now, if I just offered/asked for it. So, guys, I am officially offering my services as a story consultant! But lemme e'splain what that means, because it isn't Beta-Reading. I am a terrrrrible beta-reader. What it is: What I mean by story consulting is rather like what a concept artist provides for an art director on a movie or game. You (the director) come to me and tell me you want to make a movie about a fish whose son has been stolen by a diver and now he has to search the seven seas looking for him. You say, I need to know what the bottom of my ocean is gonna look like. Draw me some coral! I draw you 100 versions of coral. You point at three and say "I like those". I draw you 100 more variations based on those three until you have enough coral to put together an ocean floor. And then we move onto the rocks that those coral grow off of XD I wanna do that for you, but with stories. If you've got a cool idea, but not an actual plot, let's chat! I'll throw numerous possibilities at you until you latch onto one you like, then we go from there. If you've got a cool OC, but you want to make sure he/she is fully flushed out, we can tackle that. If you've backed yourself into a corner and are having trouble getting yourself out of it, pleeeease hit me up. I love problem-solving, and I'm a huge believer that limitations (like corners) breed extreme creativity! Heck, if you just wanna know if a character is staying in character, I can help there. Range of Work: I am comfortable offering consulting services on any of the following fandoms: Supernatural, Star Trek (TOS, 2009, or Voyager), Avengers, Justice League, Transformers, NCIS, Hawaii Five-O, the Flash (TV series), DC Legends of Tomorrow, LOTR, Harry Potter Obviously, I can really only operate in the fandoms that I know, otherwise I will be utterly useless when it comes to character work and even plot becomes difficult if I don't know the world. But please feel free to contact me regardless and ask if I've read/watched your fandom, because I might have. And I'll be honest with you about my knowledge of your fandom. Other than that, short stories, long stories, full plot development, or just a 'does this sound like something this character would say?', send it my way :) How it Works: Send me a PM with a short description of what you're looking for/need/hoping to get fixed, and I will get back to you within 48 hours. Please be patient with me on that front, though. I'm a very busy person and while I'll try to get back to you as soon as possible, how quickly I'll be able to help depends entirely on the problem you've got. |
